Smart little cookie, must get it from her mamma,” he teased, knocking his younger brother slightly. “The Lowry’s are charming but I think brains might be skimpin’ a little with the boys in the family.” It was as much as dig on himself as Elijah, all in good fun. Nicholas did manage to make it through medical school after all. “I have to say, I hear that a lot in my field, ya know?” He chuckled lowly, his lips parting into a large smile. “I don’t think anyone goes plannin’ for a baby and if they do, it never goes to plan,” he had heard it more than a few times during his peds rotation with Melody. He tilted his head back, laughing with Beau’s words. “All in the smile, looks got nothin’ to do with it.” He teased Beau, knowing all too well that he was good looking. He got away with quite a bit because of his looks. “I always got an ambulance on standby, just in case, never know who might go weak in the knees with me just walkin’ by, flashin’ a smile.”

Beau couldn’t help that he burst out laughing at Nick’s comment. “I mean you said it not me.” He said waving his head as he tried to calm himself. “If ya had both it would be a dangerous combination. We can’t have that, she’s really gonna give ya a run for ya money.” I mean clearly Nick was smart he was a doctor for god sake but it was none the less. “Life’s just gonna throw what it can at ya and ya just do what ya got to, ya know. It all seems to work out in the end. Will have to get your niece and Everleigh together, they can run off some of that energy together.... or ya know plot world domination whichever fits their fancy.” He joked, shaking his head. It was probably better they didn’t do the latter because they would all be in trouble. “I mean ya got an insurance policy just for that thing? It’s like a lethal weapon, ya got to be careful with it, we can’t have you running around all willy nilly now.” He shook his finger at his friend.

“Relax, dad, I’ll behave.” Ace laughed, throwing a seed at Beau’s head before popping another into his mouth. “But I’ll take you up on the bailin’ me out part, ya’ never know.” He joked. Getting more serious Ace nodded slowly in agreement as Beau voiced what he had been thiking all this time. “I had Ryder back there, which defintiely made things easier hen we moved there, and then a solid group of friends,but there was so much of Frostford missing there…” He snickered and shook his head, thinking about Auggie. “Well, you were on age, anyway, so, ‘s fine, you don’t want to be complainin’ about back pain later on.” He joked. “Where d’you live him by the way?”

“You’re a good son, my boy,” Beau said reaching over to ruffle Aces hair jokingly. “Can’t tell ya how many bad dates I’ve needed to be bailed out of so ya say the word I’ll come up with a real solid reason for you to need to get right on out of there. That’s what friends are for after all.” Beau was already trying to come up with all the reasons he could use to get Ace out of any date. “Ah yeah I’m gonna make a terrible old man just yell at kids to get off my law and to recycle... wait I already do that last one. “He’s with my mama today, she wanted to get some quality time in with the grand babies, ya know how it is. She loves them more than me. Not that I blame her she gets to send them home when she’s done with them.” He said with a chuckle.

“Listen,” he placed his hand on Beau’s shoulder, looking him in the eyes. “What do you always tell me? Gotta respect the sanctity of the environment. So I think once we meet him, we should have some food on deck. Gotta figure out what they like. I think they just like garbage, so bring your compost bucket. Then we pet him, give him a quick snuggle, and leave him be.”

Beau listened with a serious expression on his face as Luca laid out the plan. “Yeah I can’t see anything going wrong in this plan. It's the perfect plan. I’ll bring my compost bucket and we’re gonna get all the raccoon snuggles. “ He said his voice getting a small note of excitement. “I hope we don’t scare it. I mean he’ll know we want to be friends right? I mean I dont speak raccoon but he’ll know because we have kind eyes right?”

Hey friends! So I was having a little bit of a struggle with Beau and some of his plots and so I had to do a little bit of a revamp of the last 10 years of his life. The changes are in bold underneath the cut. Quick summary, he now has an ex-wife and an 8 year old daughter now on top of having Auggie (his origin story changed a smidge too). He moved to Louisiana to stay close to his daughter.  He’s still the environment loving nerd, who’s still fumbling through parenthood. Full details are below the cut. @frostfordstart​

Background

Born in New Orleans, LA to Francesca and Alan Parker.  He was only 6 months old when his parents were killed in a tragic accident. With no close relatives Beau was adopted by his godparents Daniel and Emily Castor. And so Beau became a Castor.

He was loved like he was their own and had they not been completely honest with him he would have never known. He grew up knowing all about his birth parents, who they were, what they were like, but the Castors treated him like he was their own.

Louisiana is still a big part of who he is. The family are big LSU fans, it broke his daddy’s heart the day he got into both U of A and LSU and chose U of A.

When he was seven he found out he was going to be a big brother and he couldn’t be more excited.

It was long after Bellamy was born that the Castors picked up and moved to Frostford.

At 8 years old he made friends pretty easily as a charming little kid, despite most of the kids having known each other all their lives.

Stupid smart, he was really fascinated with science. He’s fucking idiot when it comes to most shit but the kid is fucking brilliant

Loved sports because it was a great way to run off some of his energy.

Got into U of A with some of his best friends. Graduated from there with degree in Environmental Engineering and Computer Science.

Was able to move back to Frostford and take up a job as an Environmental Engineer. Which required him to travel frequently but it was a good place to lay his head.

Got married at 24 and things were good for awhile, they had their first kid right out the gate, Everleigh Rose Castor was the light of his life.

The spent a few years happily married before things began to sour, ultimately they grew distance, wanting different things in life they agreed to divorce after five years of marriage. 

They spent the next few years just working through how to co parent their daughter and Beau found himself having feelings for his long time friend, who was unfortunately for him engaged to someone else.

His ex wife got a job in Baton Rouge and not wanting to be a way from his daughter he applied for his dream job in New Orleans but there was something holding him back. So he took a leap confessed his feelings to his best friend Lemon only to be turned down. He took as a sign that taking the job was the right call.

So about three years ago he took the job in New Orleans to be close to his daughter, he and his ex wife were working out the whole co parenting thing but got caught up in old feelings one night and hooked up. A few months later they were faced with the reality that they were going to have a second child.

Auggie was born in November of 2019 and his ex wife hated being so far from her family with two childrens so she made the decision that she wanted to move back to Frostford, Beau knew he couldn’t be away from his kids, and with the end of his contract up he packed up his life and moved back to Frostford a few months ago. 

Wanted Connections

Ew-wife:  I kept it vague enough that it left a lot of room to work with plotting wise, she would be a native to Frostford and have family around. They have two kids together and have been trying to work through the whole co parenting thing.

Old High School/Childhood friends: Gimmie all the old friends from childhood and high school.

Science nerd friends: Listen Beau loves science and the environment and I would love to have some nerd friends for him to bond with.

First love: ya know that high school girlfriend angst.

Old flames: Beau is that guy that is literally friends with all of his ex girlfriends. I also take angst in any forms for him.

“We’re glad to have you back. Missed you a lot.” Maggie thought for a moment. “Eh, we’ll come up with a name later on. You can always ask me anything you need help with, y’know I’ll help in anyway I can. And you can talk to Kyle, too. He’s a great dad and doing this without knowing anything like me. I talk to Hannah a lot about mom problems, and Nadia.” 

“I really can’t imagine being anywhere else,” Beau said with a fond smile. It was nice to know he wasn’t alone in all of this and that he’d be able to create a new life for himself here in Frostford. Maybe a little different than his last. “Sounds like a pretty solid network, Tanner has been a huge help. I like the idea of having people to lean on ya know. Makes the whole thing feel a little less lonely.”

“Yeah, sometimes I think about going away, maybe come back later on and see if it really does say the same,” she spoke truthfully. “That’s probably because we were so close to home, and there were more reasons to come back home at the time.” Brooke smiled, “That sounds nice, though I’m glad you don’t regret it, I think sometimes the least planned things can turn out the best.” It felt like most of the time, things never really seemed to work out exactly how you wanted it anyways. “You flatter me, Beau Castor.”

“It’s an experience that’s for sure, you’re happy here though right. Things are going good for you?” All Beau wanted in life was for the people in his life to be good and to get everything they deserved and Brooke was one of those people who deserved the very best. “I mean all we can do is just roll with the punches, right? Things turn out just like they’re supposed to.” He shrugged his shoulders, there was no reason trying to fight fate. “Flatter you? I’m just speaking the truth here Parker.”

“A turtle tramp stamp, have ya ever heard of anything better,” Beau said unable to keep a straight face now before he chuckled shaking his head. “I am actually surprised you don’t already have that, but I always just figured it was implied you wore the crown.”
