Well, yes.
Iceman is cold and calculated and perfect because he has to be, because deep in his chest hides the secret that could get him discharged at any moment. And he does a good enough job at hiding it, takes home a girl when they get shore leave so no one gets suspicious and feels bad for them when they catch feelings. Lets Slider talk about his own conquests and plays along. Wears sunglasses so no one can accuse him of staring at other pilots for too long.
But then Maverick comes in, and all it takes is one conversation at the O-club for Ice to know: he knows. Maverick sees right through him
They should use the mcu version of John Walker to teach media literacy in schools bc what the fuck are some of these takes and interpretations

MCU Pinterest is a different breed
I thrive on mcu pinterest. it calls to me like the green goblin mask
love buck but i fear sam would probably get me in the divorce
Yeah you could say I’m doing numbers on tumblr. And that numbers? One
doctor he wants to talk about his ocs but has nothing concrete to say about them. and yes it's fatal.
If I had a nickel for every time Lewis Pullman played a guy named Bob, who everyone loves and cherishes, who is picked up and adopted by an extremely attractive woman who will protect him forever, who has to explain that his name is Bob, and who is moderately bullied by a cocky blonde guy on the team, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
ppl are yelling sambucky divorce when thats the only scene that made sense and i agree with sam bc WHY WOULD BUCKY GO WITH THE NEW AVENGERS THING 😭 there is NO WAY IN HELL this man would let the government own the avengers and no way in hell he'd work against sam, IT MAKES ZERO SENSE
something something about how Bucky’s greatest trauma came from falling and Sam’s greatest trauma came from watching someone fall and Bucky found someone who can catch him and Sam found someone who can bounce
they’re perfect
"His character is getting better" ITS THE SAME FUCKING CHARACTER YALL ARE JUST PUSSIES WHO CANNOT HANDLE A CHARACTER WHO IS AT ODDS WITH YOUR FAVS AND WHO ISNT AN EASY AND VERY STRAIGHT FORWARD-
Sincerely someone who has been a John Walker fan since tfatws
I'm glad he's getting more positive attention now but please. Let's not act like he's somehow much better now. He was fantastic in tfatws. Incredible acting, very well written character. A very FLAWED character which some of you apparently struggle with.
Yes I will be a bitch about this btw because he IS OBJECTIVELY AN INCREDIBELY WELL DONE CHARACTER. HAS BEEN SINCE HE FIRST APPEARED IN THE MCU.
You remember the line "not a perfect soldier, but a good man"? The line that was said ABOUT Steve?
John Walker is the example of a perfect soldier in this scenario.
Idk why but I found his character absolutely fascinating in tfatws. I think the way he and Sam and Bucky clashed was really fun. I found his actions and his personality interesting. He's an asshole, but he's trying to do good. He's very loyal. We see him following the rules and doing everything that was asked of him. The EXACT opposite of what Steve and Sam would do, because tho two don't just blindly follow others, they do what they think is right.
Walker has faith in his superiors and he wanted to trust them. And where did that get him?
Walker was never gonna he captain america. He was there to show us what a perfect soldier would look like in that position tho.
Also why was everyone so mad about him killing a terrorist? I thought that scene was incredible and honestly? That scene specifically made me absolutely fall in love with his character. Because he was so ruthless. He just watched his best friend die and then he got recorded while he used the captain america shield to kill someone in a very public space.
Idk. I thought that scene was perfect. The shot of him standing tall with the bloody shield? Incredible.
Idk his character is just really interesting and complicated and I don't think people know how to deal with characters like that.
sam wilson has become one of those characters that i was pretty neutral on when they were first introduced but people give them so much unwarranted hate that ive been pushed into being an avid defender and now they’re genuinely my favorite character
sam getting so much hate because of a movie he wasn’t even in is crazy work
