Today, there is a total solar eclipse visible in parts of Europe, so in honor of that, I want to know who amongst the BatB characters is most likely to look at it without protective eclipse glasses on? Can you work on the prompts ahead of time as long as you submit them on the day of said prompt? Or is it like artfight where you can't work on the prompts until the week starts?

If you post the first chapter of a multi chapter fic with one of the event prompts, is it okay to continue it even after the event has ended or would you prefer complete/mostly complete works only? Super excited for this event!
You may continue it for as long after the event as you wish! Works don't have to be completed within the week, nor do later chapters need to relate to the event any longer.

no you have to contribute to your fandom if you don't want it to die. most fandoms die because people say 'it's so sad watching the fandom die when the hype dies' without doing anything about it. I'm not saying you have to push out 100k word slow-burn fic, I'm not saying you have to make fan art or gif sets or edits or anything. I'm just saying we as a community should contribute to our fandom if we don't want it to die, and by contributing, I'm talking about giving kudos, commenting on your favorite fics, reblogging your favorite art and just talking about your favorite characters. that's enough to keep a fandom alive. that's the most effective way to keep a fandom alive in my humble opinion.
fandoms die because people stop talking about it, fandoms die because people stop engaging with fan content once the hype is gone. what I'm saying is, mainstream media's hype may be gone, but our fandom can stay alive and thriving if us as a community don't let it die.

This is why I created Beauty and the Beast Week! It doesn't matter that the first Disney movie is 33 years old and the latest one is 8—if there are still people to love it and talk about it, then the fandom is still alive! It takes all of us to keep it going.
And this is how everyone can participate in BatB Week—even if you don't create anything, you contribute to the event and the fandom by reblogging, commenting, liking, giving kudos, chatting with the creators about their works, and so on!
Please follow the blog so you don't miss anyone's works, can celebrate those works, and can connect with others who love these films and characters!

Beauty and the beast story but instead of a love interest he finds a baby, and the love that breaks his curse is parental love for the infant/child he found
What a lovely story idea! I've posted some fic ideas where Maurice's parental love for the prince is what breaks the spell, but I don't think I've posted any fics where the prince is the one holding the parental love. He would be adorable with a baby!
Maybe someone would like to write or draw this for Beauty and the Beast Week? I'll attempt to tie it to some of the daily prompts:
Day 1, wish: Beast makes a wish that the person who will break the spell will appear at his castle. The next day, there's a baby on his doorstep.
Day 2, curse: Vignette/comic of Beast/Prince having to learn not to curse around his kid because the kid is copying it all.
Day 3, disappear: Vignette/sketch of Beast playing hide and seek with his kid. They both are awful at hiding: Beast because he is so big, and the kid because their dad's nose can sniff them out no matter where they are.
Day 4, witch hunt: Mandalorian crossover! Beast is the bounty hunter sent to find Grogu and ends up adopting him.
Day 6, smoke: A forest fire sends a travelling party fleeing to the castle. The adults die from smoke inhalation, but the sole baby in the party survives. It's now up to the castle staff to raise the baby.
Day 6, enchanted: Beast is repulsed and annoyed by the baby he's found at first, but slowly becomes enchanted by them and falls in love.
Or, for the free day, simply make a lovely portrait of Beast/Prince cradling his dear tiny baby in his big loving arms 💕
