In The Fog, In The Flame - Bec Sandridge

I have no idea what they’re putting in the water down Australia way, but they’re just churning out spectacular music this year, and Ms Sandridge is no exception. Her latest single, In The Fog, In The Flame, is at the same time familiar and fresh with her powerful vocals backed by excellent production. 

I’ve always loved music where the sound is counter-balanced by the lyrics, and Sandridges darker lyrical content is wonderfully offset by the great instrumentation and driving rhythm. It’s the perfect summer road trip tune for those of us south of the equator.

All I can really say about Bec Sandridge is that I almost certain she is Kate Bush in disguise as her quirky vocal talent and unique sound is something I only thought Kate Bush was capable of, turns out I was wrong. Her latest electro pop track called In The Fog, In The Flame has such a unique sound that if you heard it on the radio you’d be able to tell her it was her song within an instant with the strong synths, electronic guitar and of course almost flawless vocal. A great track and I am excited to hear more from Bec - Jakk

Bec Sandridge gives us a sumptuous and soulful composition with In The Fog, In The Flames. It’s a mix of old school eighties pop with synths from the future and a voice like no other. This track is the first single off her upcoming EP titled Into the Fog. We cannot wait to hear more!

As you can probably tell, I go through so much new music and check out so many new artists and bands each day, finding plenty of amazing music and emerging acts to get all excited about. But certain acts just stand out with a magical spark, and these are the ones that reel me in deeply, keep me riveted for longer than the others. Bec Sandridge is one such artist. Despite all the endless music I need to get to, she keeps me hypnotized with her sensational vocals and compelling music. Last week, I shared with you the Australian singer songwriter’s new single, In The Fog, In The Flame, an indie rock meets peppy indie pop gem with a hefty dose of 80′s retro flair. It’s a rollicking, hooking song that evokes a fusion of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Florence + The Machine, and Kate Bush, with a touch of Blondie, too. Today’s new music video for the song begs a requisite re-visit of the phenomenal tune. Make sure you don’t miss In The Fog, In The Flame now if you did the first time around. Bec Sandridge oozes such sophisticated talent and entrancing charisma. She’ll be releasing an EP later this year and announcing a string of Australian and UK tour dates.

had excellent guy and musician @becsandridge over for a #nomtaigne breakfast and i made this choc oatmeal (cocoa powder, coconut sugar, rice milk, water) with stewed pear (coconut oil, rice malt syrup, a pinch of coconut sugar) topped with coconut yoghurt, @mayversfood peanut butter, shredded coconut and chopped roasted almonds. it was a #hit.
