Virge doesn't stand up for Logan efficiently because Virge doesn't quite grasp the difference between being respected as a function vs as a person.

Like... most of Virgil's existence was his function and person both being attacked and devalued. After Accepting Anxiety, his function and person were both respected and valued simultaneously. Virgil wasn't taught to view them differently. To him, if your function is valid, then your person is valid. If your function is invalid, then your entire self is invalid and reprehensible. There's no tangible difference between the two for him.

So Virge snaps at the others to listen to Logan when Logan explains things and provides the logical perspective. He validates Logan's function... without realizing that Logan's person is still being neglected.

Rewatching DWIT for the like 7th time and realized that one of Virgil's lines has a double meaning in a way I personally find cute :3

Right before Remus hits Roman with his morningstar Virgil says "Ghosts aren't evil, they just scare people because you never know when they're going to show up."

Now while I don't think Virgil was intentionally referencing Remus I do believe that Thomas placed that line where it was to make a point that having intrusive thoughts (and therefore Remus himself) isn't inherently evil which really well done and self conscious on his part :]

Also love how the series doesn't try to demonize experiencing intrusive thoughts and instead makes a point to show that while uncomfortable they only have as much control over you as you let them and aren't a moral failing on your part for having them

janus is objectively the hottest side because how does he have chemistry with EVERYONE. this man is casually walking around with a jilted ex he still has crazy tension with, a homoerotic enemy only he understands, a loving husband, an intellectual match, and a feral bastard who wants him carnally. no one is doing it like him
