images from left to right
img 1 : currently thinking about changing Chirper eyes, since no other organism has developed a radial muscle for lens manipulation (at least as of now). here i was toying with a combo of kalium-ion pushed bone plates and a few iris adjacent muscles. this sounds incoherent, i'l explain properly if i go through with the idea
also on the same image is a chirper with a hormone deficiency, poor guy can't grow a crest and probably has frail bones
img 2 : a Chirper, Strider (might rename them into Antlions but we'll see) and a Cranearm posing epicly since i noticed i haven't drawn my spingles together in a while. on the right i pondered how the spingles might design a union emblem. upper is from the striders and the lower of the Chirpers, Cranearms don't have one because they don't ca re
striders seem ornate but its pretty matter of fact, its layed out in the same manner as a regular quarter script (need to elaborate on their writing system) listing the parties associated and a vow of burden
Chirpers is more celebratory with flowy/religious imagery, pondering whether they would include Cranearms
theres also a fat Strider baby
img 3 : a painting excersize, entirely done without sketching!!!!1!! depicted is a religious harvesting of bark on the shore of a forest. this tree doesn't usually grow in water so its especially sacred, they would probably build a little shrine around it
img 4 : another painting excersize, this one show Chirper babies and a juvenile sleeping in small but cozy tent. was thinking about making Chirpers sleep with their eyes open
img 5 : my most liked attempt at drawing Peanuts mum. i like how her eyes are angled a bit weird. i get really stressed about drawing faces so to help me construct i play it out as me making a mii (loved tomodachi life). look at the little baby Peanut in her skirt. she disturbs her mother every day.
img 6 : me pondering more plants for Chirper Homeworld
img 7 : an ancient forest, blocked out with shapes.
the trees develop their bark not by by simply radiating outwards a stem and lignyfying (idk if thats worded correctly sorry teehee) they grow their internodules extremely quickly without any uv protection, lignyfying the uv damaged branches until they harden.
repeat that a few dozen times over the years and you get a pretty thick and sturdy cone around ur 3 actually photosynthesizing leafs. i should make a post about this
