With Lucifer's latest promo card, all the Morningstars have been linked to music notes (and thus to music) explicity:
Music notes are present in the new hotel's exterior as well:
Charlie's music notes are much more prominent in the show overall, as they are the way her powers manifest (beside fireworks), as her signature:
Music and singing are not exclusive to the Morningstars by any means, but it is one of their main characteristics compared to other characters: Lilith is stated to sing to empower the sinners, Charlie's powers literally manifest as music notes. She expresses herself through music and songs. Lucifer doesn't have any other association beside that card, but we know he's proficient in a few instruments and loves musical theater.
While the show is a musical and most of the characters sing, none of the others are as attuned, or associated, to music.
Except one.
If you're familiar with my powerpoint collecting observations about Alastor's merch, you'll remember I dedicated a slide to all the merch Alastor stars in that depicts musical notes. He's also a character proficient with at least one musical instrument (in his case, the piano) and his passion for radio has everything to do with his voice, as much as Lilith's campaings and Charlie's way to express her feelings.
Another interesting little fact, in my opinion, is how these notes are colored: Lilith's are red (for now), Lucifer's are golden, Alastor's and Charlie's are black, with Charlie's having a golden glow (probably because she inherited some of Lucifer's powers); in Alastor's comic and in some pilot merch, his are depicted red.
I don't know if the colors mean anything (especially Alastor's and Charlie's in current merch being of the same one), but I can smell some connection between the Morningstars and Alastor just for this alone.
(If I have to give out my two cents, I think Alastor's and Charlie's manifest similarly because they might have, possibly, perhaps, a relative in common. Maybe.)
With that said, this goes into the "Alastor is connected to Roo" folder. For reasons.
