a new dnd character concept im working on currently :) Human ranger! 

more of a neutral good, leaning a bit toward chaotic bc i feel like she’d be a bit of a prankster and wouldn’t follow rules that aren’t fair to anyone. She’s been arrested a few times for her pet rooster perching on the highest roof he can find, scaring everyone unacquainted with giant chickens; and breaking everyone’s eardrums with his gallant crow come morning. “It’s in his instincts! i can’t control everything he does, he’s a free bird!” “he can’t even fly. Atleast let him dream!” “Don’t shout at him, he’s sensitive!”

Meet Asteraoth aka Faythe, my D&D character :)

He’s a half-elf Tiefling (Dark elf mom, infernal dad). I’m still deciding between rogue and bard.

His Parents are loving and doting to him but want him to be just as evil as them and maybe take over several kingdoms. They’re very supportive and check in on him once in a while. He wants to find his own group of friends and go on world-saving adventures. Gone independent optimistically, but has only been met with racism, hate and fear, causing him to turn to stealing to survive. He approaches people with excitement and kindness but it comes off as eerie deception because of his droopy eyes, sharply angled brows, and tantalizing smile.

he uses fire magic to heat his hands enough to iron his hair. has a rapier strapped to his waist. He appears smug and condescending but he’s very affectionate and thoughtful to his friends, disastrously bisexual, and will die for anyone who treats him humanely. Little spoon.

edit: He’s bard with a banduria that he stole from an enchanted items merchant. it has small hairy legs that allow it to run away and attack people with the furious rage of a toddler. Its strapped VERY tightly to Faythe with the dnd equivalent of a baby carrier.

Hello everyone, I’m Sirene I decided to open up art commissions because I desperately need to buy food and medicines for my family. Recently, my mom fainted and hit her head when she fell down because she had barely eaten that day. We are from Venezuela and my country is currently going through one of the most horrible crisis in our history, it’s truly inhuman what we are suffering here, we are having one or two meals a day because not even a month’s worth of salary is enough for us to buy all the food we need. things i did that forced me to be a better artist:

used a reference for everything

thinner line art (you think thats thin? go thinner….)

sketch, then do a cleaner sketch, THEN start finalizing

THUMBNAILS

color research, picking a set palette or light/dark for each work

you like that pose? redo it one more time

USE A DAMN REFERENCE

do not rely on stylization as an excuse for anatomy

draw the goddamn background you coward

just draw the hand- a bad hand is better than a hidden hand

the rule of thirds WORKS

take a considerable break between sketch and lines/paint

know that art takes longer as you get better at it

draw the seams on clothes

stop aiming for accuracy and focus on fluidity and motion, accuracy will come with practice of those two concepts

just…do the chiaroscuro. just DO IT. no excuses it always works

stop making excuses, make yourself an art schedule/set weekly(or daily) art goals and just DO IT.
