It depends on what kind of ‘object’  we’re talking about. He has very few interpersonal relationships, and those he does have are all very different. Regarding the one I have in mind, however, he would definitely experience a great deal of anxiety and aimless hostility toward the ‘someone else’, without, in all likelihood, recognizing the source of these feelings within himself.

how does my muse feel about physical intimacy?

He’s not overly fond. However, there are certain contexts in which he can accept it as a positive gesture. For example, he will receive physical gestures from people he admires but not necessarily from people he considers to be his equals and certainly not from people he considers beneath him. And by ‘physical gesture’ I don’t necessarily mean anything objectively intimate, though I do believe he would accept even those in very specific circumstances. When it comes to physical intimacy that he initiates, well ….. he really only fawns over his dolls. This isn’t sexual, it’s about admiration and pride in their beauty which is a direct result of his talent. It’s about ownership and control. Yikes.

On the contrary, despite the cowardly manner in which you conduct yourself, your career is of continued interest to me. Of course, none of my sources have the capacity to provide me with an accurate count of your true victories, but I can make very well-educated guesses based on the information they provide to me. I’m pleased by your obvious devotion. When you can be bothered to part with those precious diversions of yours, of course. I’d worry for you, but I know there is nothing at which you are more adept than escaping. So, I am at peace, awaiting our eventual meeting.

     Don’t mind? No, but what does that matter? Surely, she knew the value of the information she carried just as much as he did. What she had gone through to obtain it - at least, where a particular few were concerned - wouldn’t have seemed absurd to him. Terence sits down in a fluent motion and faces her with what is next to a look of earnestness.
