dante showed me this app that allows you to shout your thoughts into the void..... after practicing to type, i decided to download it

now i'm kind of new to this app so bear with me. i will post bee content and other sorts of quips throughout my day. now if you'll excuse me, i have bees to observe and a pilgrim to take care of...

Intro

Ipse autem Dominus pacis det vobis pacem sempiternam in omni loco!

I am Durante degli Alighieri, but you may call me Messer Alighieri or just Dante.

I am a Florentine, as one might guess from my clothes and speach, but I have been most brutally banished form my native soil and so live at the mercy of the whims of rich men. I make do.

POET, first and formost! I am writing the poem of all time right now. Be on the look out for the arrival of the first part, Inferno, at a live reading venue near you! I also take translation, dictation, and smaller writing jobs when I can get them. If you know anyone who is highering... 👀

I am not alone! My dear mentor @beeloverpoet is my constant guide, inspiration, and helper. Yes, he is the real Virgil. Though dead now in body, he lives in spirit, and is none the worse for not being a living man.

yes. even though it is quite hot in hell, the blankets are comfortable... i'd describe them more as robes than blankets, though, but alas, they share the same purpose...

a "video game"? hmm... that's very nice! i'm glad that dante and i's journey has been interpreted in so many different ways. that makes my heart happy. at least my efforts as dante's guide haven't gone unnoticed 🐝

Thoughts on The Lusiads?

hmmm. i have never read the lusiads myself but i do think that they are of most eloquent prose. while having not perused it, i understand how it is seen as the cornerstone of portuguese literature...

no, he wasn't. he very much loved himself. though i do wish he'd respected my wishes, i'm glad that there are people who have read and loved my work. those people would have never been able to peruse them if augustus had burnt them as i asked. you have no need to apologize, your highness.

i have certainly heard great things about lucan! ah, i haven't run into him yet, but perhaps i will. perhaps.
