You may. I am taking servus to pay homage to the dragon remains at the museum. It seems to me like these museums are a new kind of temple which no one likes to call a temple, for whatever reason.

They take offerings only in coin nowadays, or card as well I suppose.

yes, i think our gods are housed there nowadays as well? i shall come with you, i too would like to see the dragons.

and perhaps make an offering to the gods-- i doubt they have gotten many as of late.

I have had it in my heart for some time to find some remnant of our old statues of the gods and make a trip to go and pay respects.

I do not believe they house the gods and the dragons in the same kinds of temples, which is fitting, but at the same time not the mos convenient, either for our feet of David's plastic card. We will have to go to a natural history museum for dragons and an art museum for the gods.

ah-- these modern folk are so silly. not understanding that the gods are the most natural of history.

I understand the difference, but I do not understand the names. Natural history seems to be those things of the past which were created by the gods, and art those which were made by men. And I grant you that our statues were made by human artists, but they are more than carved marble. The gods cannot be contained by the crass divisions of human museums.

Oh servus! Do you read Greek? I fear the translations into English that I have read at the library have been strange, though I suppose that is not surprising. I never considered translation myself, as in our day all the educated classes knew Greek, but as that is no longer the case in this age, it would be interesting to try my hand at a translation, perhaps of the Odyssey.

If you have an interest in poetry, might you perhaps wish to look into translation together?

I figured out how to read Greek letters, but I sadly never studied the language itself😔. So I'm not sure how much help I can give for translating

I can handle translation myself, but I thought if you were interested in the poetry aspect of either the Greek or the English that you might like to have a part.

I am uncertain, but you may have mine. I stole Nervas plastic rectangle and used it to have a copy delivered ages ago... But I will say I think some things have changed over the years from what I remember. But then I always have preferred other works to that of Odysseus's little misadventures.

No Britney, you do not understand. Not knowing Greek you cannot understand. It makes a difference when the words are those chosen by people who had this story carved into their hearts and minds, and so it was for the first transcribers of Homer.

No, it is most important that we find a "book" of Homer's work in ancient Greek.
