The world unfurls in front of him, everything all at once trying to cram itself into a container not made to hold that much. His head spins as everything unfolds, expands out into infinity and collapses back in on itself before his eyes, information flashing too fast for him to grasp anything meaningful. Aka my take on D3rlord's mindbreak at the hands of the king. This is heavily inspired by the first chapter of Inverted Colours by @beesinabasket and Like Shards of Glass by @zombified-hoglin. This can be read as either platonic or romantic, it was written with romantic intent but unless I write more it really is reader's choice. It's intentionally confusing and disorienting, and it's meant to be set in the world of minecraft itself, as if d3r is an inhabitant rather than a player, although it's a bit hand-wavy (and self aware) about it lmao

Wrote something I'm proud of for the first time in over a year, and I'd be stoked if some of y'all gave it a read, also if you enjoy it PLEASE check out the above links these authors are both incredible and really inspiring and I love their works SO much!!

But yeah this was really fun to write and if you give it a read please let me know what you think!! But be nice my heart is very fragile when it comes to criticism for my writing lmao

Avery clicks his tongue. “They’re only bad form when they’re done to me. I, however, can do what I want.”

D3r shakes his head and looks upwards, tapping his foot like he’s above the game that Avery is playing. He waits until Avery leans a little further out from his cover to strike, quickly kneeling down to scoop some snow and fling it at him. Avery squawks and ducks back into his hiding spot just in time to avoid it.

“Bad form!” Cries the pillar.

i cant even split the chapter bc i planned the titles very specifically... and i can't move the last 1-2 scenes cus it would be weird place to end and they're 2.2k anyway so it would make ch6 super long too... urgh [explodes] my chapters were supposed to be 2-3k bruh
