headcanons for a beej with a depressed/self harming SO?
A quick PSA before we start:

Beetlejuice With A Depressed S/O
Beej wasnât the most subtle of people, so when he started to notice that you were acting different and looked as though you were carrying a huge weight on your shoulders, he asked about it
Oh boy, it was a huge weight indeed
You told him about your depression and he listened to every word that came out of your mouth with so much patience that you almost burst into tears. Finally someone was listening.
Beetlejuice was quiet at first, which frightened you as this man is always charismatic and loud, but finally he looked at you in the eye and smiled softly
âItâs okay, youâre okay. Iâve got you and Iâll help you.â
Beej wasnât a stranger to depression, so he sorta knew what he was doing when it came to you
Constantly asking if youâve taken your meds, drank water and done exercise that day. He wonât stop until you prove that youâve done it, or you do it in front of him to make him less worried
He hasnât changed though, he still plays pranks, is super loud and happy all the time. Youâre glad that he hasnât changed since youâve told him.
Beetlejuice tries making you meals every now and then to make sure that you eat, but you always end up taking over or else heâll set the kitchen on fire
Before you guys go to bed (or just you) he lets you know how much you mean to him and he tells you all the things youâll get up to tomorrow. He makes sure to make you smile at least once before you go to bed
Once you got even more comfortable, you showed him your scars. You could see the heartbreak in his eyes once he saw them, but when you told him youâve been clean ever since you spoke to him about your depression, he smiled at you
Beej tries to be as supportive as he can, with compliments and physical affection. He likes to hug you the most
He brings you your favourite things!! If you want something to cheer you up, or you canât find something and it stresses you out, Beej will get it right away
Beej actually finds it fun when he has to take care of you (he doesnât have to, but he does) or at least, he makes it fun
Beej now has the habit of singing for you when youâre upset or if you just need motivation. His happy energy is very contagious, so you usually end up singing with him
He helps you get back into your routines, such as brushing your teeth and washing. Even though his man wonât wash himself (and youâve tried to, but he just avoided you for the day) he makes sure youâve brushed your teeth and showered
Before you wake up he puts your clothes on the radiator so then theyâre nice and warm for you!
Heâs loves helping!!! Anything he can help with he makes it into a game so it doesnât feel like a task. Drawing? Washing up? Cleaning? Making food? Itâs game time baby!
