Remus Lupin coming out to his friends in third year after they already accepted him as a werewolf because it's completely ok to not be out if you don't want to be and to wait till you are comfortable and certain that you will be accepted, and it doesn't make you any less valid.
James Potter and Peter Pettigrew being a little confused about how to feel about that at first because it was the seventies, people weren't that educated, but slowly realising that it doesn't change who Remus is because everyone's human, no matter what their sexuality is.
Sirius Black being confused about his sexuality since third year, ever since he saw that James and Peter were fine with it, and not putting a label on himself or coming out for a long time because of his home life and the things instilled into him since he was young, but that not making him any less valid because you're still valid if you're questioning and no matter what people around you might say, homosexuality is not a sin.
James Potter being comfortable with liking both girls and boys, but not putting a label on himself because you're still valid if you're unlabelled.
Lily Evans thinking she was aromantic and asexual for her whole life because she had never been attracted to or loved anyone, but coming to the conclusion she was demisexual and demiromantic when she was in her sixth year because she did fall in love with James Potter, and certainly was very attracted to him, and that only happened when they had grown close because it's fine if you change your sexuality; it's your sexuality, your identity.
Dorcas Meadowes taking a long time to figure herself out and not coming out for years but still being happy because you're still valid if you aren't out.
Alice Longbottom (nee Fortescue) not being comfortable with she/her pronouns so they start going by they/them, but they're still a happy female because pronouns ≠gender.
Peter Pettigrew always feeling left out and thinking that there's something wrong with him as he's never been attracted to anyone either romantically or sexually before unlike his friends, until Remus tells him that he might be asexual and aromantic because just because you're different from others doesn't mean you're any less valid, after all, the world would be a pretty boring place if everyone was the same, wouldn't it?
Marlene McKinnon going by she/they pronouns and always encouraging people not to assume anyone's sexuality or gender based on the way they look, talk or dress because you can't assume anyone's gender, pronouns or sexuality based on the way they present themselves or behave.
Mary McDonald being non binary and all of their friends making sure that no one misgenders them and uses the correct pronouns because using a person’s pronouns correctly and not misgendering them creates an inclusive environment, makes them feel good about themselves and shows your respect towards them.
Sirius, James and Remus wearing skirts and Lily, Marlene and Dorcas wearing suits because clothes have no gender.
All of them constantly trying to educate themselves and others, raising awareness and sharing their pronouns whenever they meet someone new, because at the end of the day, everyone's human and deserves to be treated equally no matter what their gender, sexuality and pronouns are.

You're valid no matter what your sexuality is.

You're valid if you're anywhere on the queer spectrum, even if you don't fit into one specific category.
