Posting my experience with a nasallang because it's really hard to find actual info!
I've had it for about 2 months now, healing hasn't been super bad, but swelling was craaaaazy the first week, and I did bonk it a couple times with shirts
It still produces a wicked amount of crust, and occasionally gets a little bloody if it gets irritated, but nothing super crazy
It was pierced with a 12 g straight internally threaded titanium barbell, I believe 1 inch but I could be off, we used m&ms rather than balls discs or spikes, bc they'd be the lightest without the risk of snagging like discs
There's no exposed barbell inside my nose, just straight through the thickest part where the three pieces of cartillage meet
Experience getting it pierced:
Id say pain was around a 7-7.5/10, both my centered eyebrows and daith *hurt* more, but this was significantly more unpleasant
Sensation wise, there was an initial pop, comparable feeling to a nostril, then an immense amount of pressure, and I could feel the needle scraping through, but theres not a lot of nerves in that cartillage, so that wasn't necessary painful, just really unpleasant, and then it felt like a major relief of pressure on exit
I clean twice a day with neilmed and q tips (ik ur not rly supposed to use q tips but the crusties are like low-key insane and can't be removed without it)
At this point it really only hurts if it gets bonked, im planning on downsizing in a few days since you can see the bar now! You can *kinda* feel it in there when you yawn or scrunch your nose
I highly highly highly recommend only going to a reputable shop you trust, and working with a piercer/the shop for a *while* before you have them do a nasallang for you since it's very finicky and anatomy specific and requires a lot of skill
