I love, LOVE how Taika just have to clean the mess the Russos brothers did to Thor in Infinity War and Endgame.

Taika made Thor lose his hammer in Ragnarok to show how he don't need it to be powerful on his own. And what Russos' did in Infinity War? Gave him Stormbreaker.

And now? One of the first scenes in Thor: Love and Thunder is Thor getting rid of it.

NOTE 1: after watching the teaser again and reading some comments and reblogs here, I have to say that yes, I do understand why they gave Thor Stormbreaker in Infinity War, it was necessary for the sake of the narrative and gave us a lot of badass scenes, but it doesn't make the decision less frustrating after Ragnarok. Thor had almost none character development in Infinity War and even less in Endgame. The Russo's did a great job at Infinity War making it such a powerful movie, but unfortunately it was built in multiple ruined character's arc.

Note 2: after watching the teaser again I noticed Stormbreaker in multiple scenes and will have its utility, I'm excited to see how Taika gonna use it.
