I do wish we saw Nick tell Charlie specifically about Stéphane’s neglect and dismissive nature from the early, formative years of Nick’s life.

That felt like the biggest missed opportunity that could’ve happened even with the time constraint. We didn’t need an extra Nick and David bedroom scene. David could’ve said a tightened version of what he did during Sarah’s party like in Vol 6.

It felt like Nick never got to address the root of his inability to understand and express his feelings to Charlie. Which also could’ve tied into his isolation from their friends during the ‘break-up’, because I also think that gravely needed addressing. Like to me Nick could conceivably feel like his & Charlie’s friends are still more Charlie’s friends after it all.

It’s barely 7 a.m. and I’m mourning how Nick and Charlie officially outgrew saying, “Why are we like this?” and “No ‘S’ word.”

I can’t believe this series is ending, I found out that Heartstopper had a show around when season 2 was premiering. While I can’t say I’ve been here since day one, I still enjoyed the anticipation of waiting for new episodes (and books) to come out. Thank you to Alice for making an incredible series!!! I wish you luck on whatever your next project may be :)
