And if ever
I failed
to love you
at your worst,
I am sorry
for maybe
that’s when
I am also
trying
to look for
the best in me.
Have you seen it? //ma.c.a
The Moment
The moment cracked and slipped like glass splinters between my fingers
The moment roared and filled my ears with its deafening silence
The moment tugged at me with hands once pristine now only ghosts of things forgotten
The moment settled in my throat, balancing me on the fracture between dying and living
The moment laughed with broken tears like only the face of pain can
The moment danced for me, with lonely music playing ignoring the yelling of its tired feet
The moment soared away on spotted wings leaving me in the ashes of its wake
It was the moment I never saw coming It was the moment my heart broke.
This is the first poem in a series of poetry writing exercises I did. The rest of the series will be posted over the next several weeks. They’ll probably be slightly different from what I usually write, but I hope you enjoy reading them all the same!
I thought
I was so strong,
that I own myself
so no one could
make me feel
worthless.
But how,
how someone
could easily
break my heart
in to pieces?

We’ve all suffered in silence to prevent others from worrying.
