I photographed a story for the December issue of VOGUE ME This is a spread of the Band, åøå¶ä¹é. It was one of the coldest days in the beginning of Winter in Beijing when we were shooting the story. The guys were all super nice and supportive, which made the shoot a lot easier to endure in such harsh climates.
I took some portraits of the KVB while they were in Shanghai. They are old friends of mine from London and I havenāt seen them play for quite some time so it was super exciting to see them play their show in Shanghai.

some images I shot for NumĆ©ro China for the sept issue with the Beijing based band BIG WAVE (modernsky records).Ā I saw the band for the first time earlier this year, they had a great stage presence and I was pretty stoked to photograph them this time to get to know them a bit more.Ā
Looking forward to hearing more from them with their new record which will be touring around China later this year.Ā
The 4th of July was my last time seeing bands at XP CLUB in Beijing. It was so amazingĀ to see some of my favourite bands on the night and so many people came to support the club, it was truly a beautiful memory and moment to experience.
I will always be forever indebted to the XP space, it was a magical place for me to find like minded people and making new friends in a very large and strange city. It is truly a shame that the space can no longer stay open, I almost didnāt care what XP would put on when I first arrived in Beijing. The space always had lots of unusual line ups and it was a place for people to all experiment and try to make something together. That is the spirit which made me fall in love with the music scene I had discovered through everyone who attended and played at XP Beijing.

It is the last week XP will be open.
The space has been super memorable for me and I am glad I got to see many great shows and make so many friends there since relocating to Beijing and it has also become a bit of a tradition to celebrate halloween with the Misfits tribute shows, which had to be pushed a little earlier this year to do the show at XP.
It was a great night with lots of great energy.

I shot a story for MEN'S UNO INTERNATIONAL in Beijing with some girl rockers for their 2015 January issue.
It was super great to shoot some of my friends in a different context and get their music out to different audiences too. This is the opening image of the 8 page story featuring 6 girls in various bands.
