@being20something-blog
you and me both.

"Twenty years from now
you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
Fly.
I want to go sky diving.
I have two blogs under my account but only seem to follow from one?
I'm new here guys, and I started two blogs Being20Something & BlissAccordingToMoi but since the first one is the first I created it seems I only follow/comment/like from this one...how do I change that?
Any suggestions?
Stuck.
I have that feeling today that I am completely stuck. I am sitting at my desk..looking at my mac..and the same thing I have been staring at for hours. I feel like I'm not moving forward ...or in any direction at all for that matter.
It's such a yucky feeling.
I like feeling productive and successful and motivated and in motion. Right now, I'm feeling glued to the floor and unable to move.
....'to infinity & beyond' is not on my side today.
Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget the one's who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life...let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just ...promised it would be worth it.
Life & Limb with Rob Szabo
Last night a friend invited me to go watch one of her friends play at a little bar in Picton called The Acoustic Grill.
I had previously been listening to Rob Szabo's music from his site and really enjoyed it. I love music that can put you in a place that makes you feel connected and at ease, and Rob's music does that for me.
As much as I loved the videos on his site (watch here), seeing him live was a gaztrillion (yes that's an actual measurment) times better. He really engages his audience and is funny and inviting and just such a pleasure to watch. I enjoyed every second of it.
Since he was friends with my friend, he came over and sat with us for a bit and he is just as arm and welcoming off stage as on. He was very friendly and endearing.
But what I loved most about the evening was seeing someone so completely in love with what they do. Watching him on stage and hearing him talk about his travels with such passion and contentment is so inspiring. I am always in awe of people who chose a life of the arts. Although it can be so tough, everyone I have ever met is completely dedicated to their decision and content and happy with their life. I could see this in Rob.
Being able to live gig to gig on the road, almost the life of a nomad, is such a mystical and exciting thing for me to imagine. The idea of being all alone in a new place everyday, with no idea what next week will hold seems like such a thrill. Ok, yes I know some people might find that crazy (and not at all the way an adult should live) but I find the idea so alluring.
Doing exactly what you want to be doing and living life the way you want to - what could be a better way to do it?
Sudden Urge!
I have the sudden urge to stop everything - quit everything-and leave.
Pack a suitcase...or a backpack and buy a one way plane ticket someone beautiful. Drop everything and leave all this familiarity for the unknown. For adventure.
Really feel like I'm living for once.
Alas, I won't....maybe one day the urge will win!
Grow Up Already..
Many days I feel like a little kid walking around in an adults world. Now, it does not help that I'm really short and look about 17, I always get Id'd and asked if I'm a student. Gimme a freakin break world!! No, I'm old, I'm 25.
Regardless of how I look, I feel inside like I'm never actually going to be an adult. How did my parents and all the people I consider 'adults' get to actually look and act like 'adults'? I mean they all do adult things like have wine and dinner parties, buy things they need, grocery shop and pay their bills on time. This post from Hyperbole and a Half explains exactly what I mean here. I too feel like I'll never be an adult. I'm terrible at paying bills, doing the dishes directly after I eat, taking out the garbage and pretty much anything you're supposed to do when you're an adult.
It does not help that in my life right now I still feel like I'm at the place teenagers are supposed to be at. Just starting my career, living like a student, renting a dumpy apartment and living pay check to pay check. When does this all change? When do I actually become an adult living a stable life and doing adulty things? At this point, I'm looking about 2000never ;)
If I knew what I was doing, I'd be doing it right now.
I'm in - Keith Urban
You're suppossed to be here....but you're not.
This is how I feel.
I feel like I am supposed to be at a certain stage in my life right now. I am supposed to be all finished with school and settled into a job I'm in love with. Well I am finished school (contemplating going back...which is another 'at your age?' situation) am I am in a job I like...but not one I love yet. I feel like I'm in the right area, but not in the exact spot I want to be in. Not in that one particular perfect little space that makes me 100% content and happy in my job. I feel like I should be in that spot.
I feel like I should be married with children and a dog, in a house that I own with 2 vehicles, a garage and a perfect fence. That's where someone in their mid twenties should be in life, just ask my mom. I have 2 dogs and one vehicle so that's close right?
But really, when I think about it. Yes, I would love to have those things right now...the world keeps passing me by and I'm stuck right here in this hole trying to figure out what it is my life is supposed to be...or better yet, what I WANT it to be.
I want to travel. I want to see the world. I want to backpack. I want to stay all-inclusive on the most beautiful beach in the world. I want freedom. But I also want a career, a family, stability. How am I supposed to choose what the right decision is right now?
Having a career is incredibly important to me and I feel like if I don't stick with it right now I'll lose it. And although I am incredibly passionate about what I do, I feel like life is too short to sit in an office and not live your life.
Well, that's where I'm at today. We'll see what tomorrow is like :)
oh life.
This is me. I'm trying to figure life out. What do I want? To be happy, content and inspired every day of my life. I just need to figure out how to get there!
I believe I'm here once, and I want to make it everything it can be. I mean what's wrong with a girl knowing what she wants right? :)
