Hey everyone, I'm Rina and I bring you this nice but mischievous guy called Choi Jaehyun. You can read about him here and the tiny bio in the navi tab on his blog! I got some plots set up here but I'm always happy to brain storm and am looking for people to thread with for the halloween event.

First time Wannabe here so pls bare with me and potentially dumb questions. Looking forward to write with you all. <3

"yo, me neither. I guess the spirit takes even the grumpiest ones out onto the streets, huh?" it's an easy jest he actually greets her with in response, spirits high after spending almost an entire day with his roommate.

"say- you dyed your hair, no?" the question has him narrow his eyes as he tilts his head, trying to recall what she'd looked like when they had last met. "i'm sorry for not responding much, I've been awfully busy." which he truly always was but also just used as an excuse when he purposely or accidently ghosted people.

"but you can definitely message any time!"

noel had went to the christmas market a lot this year, last year he’d gone once or twice, just come to shop or spend time with his sister. this year he came a lot, with friends, family, and alone. he was happy to go out, he’d been so busy lately, with work, school and being a trainee, he didn’t have a lot of free time, but he’d decided to find free time for this event. he usually stayed late at practice, for this month he wasn’t staying as late.

he walks around, bags in his hands as he’s gone christmas shopping, he’s in his own world until he hears something, or someone ( @bejaehyun ). he stops in his tracks, looks around and finds the owner of the singing that’s happening, quickly his feet move and he stands and listens to the stranger. he claps when they’re done with the song, quickly his feet moving him closer to the stranger.

“you have an amazing voice! are you an idol?”.

all things considered, jaehyun couldn't complain about his performance. he'd made a solid delivery of the song he chose to perform and even though there were things he could have done better, the applause from the audience was all the satisfaction he required.

especially from one guy.

eyes on his roommate, he fully intends to make his way over and greet daeho but someone stops him in his tracks instead, causing his attention to shift drastically for a second. "oh! yo, thank you," the student replies genuinely, a smile slowly widening over his lips.

"I'm just a hobby singer though. I sing in a cover band- nothing fancy, nothing idol like."

knowing the girl would probably take her sweet time to fix her make up, jaehyun mindlessly engages himself in a quick match of teamfight tactics, trying to outsmart his opponents and grinning at the amount of cusses he gets back for actively buying the champs and items his opponents desperate needed. he was by far no pro-player and definitely didn't enjoy the game enough to go absolute ham on knowing the good strats but it was enough to at least get him top 4 in unranked games.

perhaps he should try his hand at some ranked some day.

hearing sua approach him he turns his head quickly to follow her sit down beside him, grin on his face. "making some noobs angry in tft. wanna join me? we could double up. it's hilarious. they get so mad when they try hard."

the confusion continues to grow when insu seems to be downright accusatory instead of probably trying to jest with him and poke at him for supposedly keeping a secret. the male downright can only blink back at his bandmate for a hot second there, for once honestly at a loss. "I uh... yes, I'm pretty sure?" he inquires back, even more thrown off by the excuses that insu was quick to follow up.

for the sake of his own peace and that of the band he decides to buy the excuses though and just brushes it off with a short laugh and a wave of his hand. "you got nothing to worry about there, really. you know I don't do relationships. so you're just creating a headache for yourself over nothing, man." with a shrug to emphasize his disregard to the suspicion, hoping to get some chill back into the guitarist and dispel this awkward tension that somehow lingered in the atmosphere.

the bottle of bear in his hands is a comforting weight now that he feels a slight buzz in his system. his conversation partner had disappeared off onto the dancefloor just a second ago and jaehyun talked himself out of grinding on sweaty bodies by using the unfinished beverage as a solid excuse.

he feels their eyes on him regardless, obviously intend on keeping his attention and have him follow them once he's done with his bear. however jaehyun has no such intention, merely trying to survive in the waves of people that move to the sound of the music in rhythm with the tide.

when the culprit who he even came here for materializes before him, he can't help but deadpan at the guy a little. "hey look who made it. fancy seeing you here," he sasses at his friend as if they hadn't come together and stevie hadn't dragged him here.

she did look adorable like this and it made jaehyun feel a tad less guilty for at least considering her attractive and sweet. even though that wouldn't change the fact he'd not be interested in a relationship with her.

"a sweet drink for a sweet girl," he still hears himself saying with a charming, lopsided grin on his lips, leading her away to the row of stalls to go seek one out that would have hot cocoa for them to purchase.

in the end he settles for a stall that sold several drinks, all set up with round standing tables for them to place the hot drinks somewhere in case they got too warm to hold, queueing up in line. "why don't you secure us a table and I'll grab these?"

usually jaehyun isn't the type to show his emotions in his eyes or his mannerisms. however jaehyun is also usually not the type to fall in love with his roommate.

the markets were beautiful and it was hard to not get caught up in the winter fairy tale wonder stories all these western movies presented. especially with how much of a romantic he knew daeho to be too.

just that there was nothing romantic about their friendship- courtesy of yours truly.

so when jaehyun walked up to place an order for them, leaving daeho waiting for him and queueing himself up, he didn't expect anything odd when he spotted dana and offered her a smile in greeting.

after returning to the apartment with nails and a hammer, jaehyun had half expected to find his roommate in a tangled mess on the floor, screaming for help with twinkling lights and glitter surrounding him. he hadn't been too far off on the lights and glitter but thankfully daeho hadn't have had enough time to actually strangle himself.

so now, after some sips of hot cocoa he found himself on their trusted but very old chair that jaehyun loved to use when he'd ever need a height boost to reach things. "it'll be fine," he waves his roommate's concern off only to have his voice crack when he feels a secure hand on his thigh.

the motion leaves him slightly taken aback to the point he does waver in his balance, shifting just the slightest bit that has him sway, hand immediately against the wall to keep himself steady and not end up shoving his ass right into daeho's face instead.

as jaehyun walks into the pc bang, it truly was a sight to behold. with the confidence and comfort of a regular, he threw a charming smile to the coworkers of sua manning the counter, nudging his glasses up while not missing the way they eye his fingers. worked like a charm every time.

"is sua getting changed? can I get my usual while I wait," he asks with a tilt of his head, hoping that the senior would tell any potential new employees that didn't know jaehyun the ropes. after all he did come here to leech off his friend's employee discount.

a quick affirmative later and he taps out with a quick thanks, finding himself strolling up to his usual seat with headphones already slung around his neck as he boots up the pc. now he just had to wait for sua to pop up.

she is cute, jaehyun can admit that. after all he's not a blind man. precisely because he isn't though and sees her gentle nature and fair looks is he convinced that she chose the completely wrong guy to crush on. aside from the fact he would be incapable of upholding a stable relationship, he also simply isn't the type to fall in love.

she truly could do so, SO much better.

and yet he finds himself unable to reject her, not wanting to witness her bust into tears or worse- slap him across the face in public. so he holds onto her and guides them forward in a leisure stroll instead.

"hmm I can pretty much eat whatever. not the biggest fan of cinnamon or pumpkin though."

jaehyun simply chuckles at her antics, genuinely amused by how he seemed to have caught her off guard with his responses. he did live to see people gasp after him and laugh at his jokes. so with a cheekily raised brow he continues to sip away on the cocktail, the taste actually a lot more pleasant than he anticipated by the funky design. he mixed it well but the alcohol still burns down his throat and leaves his voice a tad more raspy as he forces down the urge to clear his throat because of it.

"i thought I had taught you to not trust anyone in this world, not even yourself- especially in games," he narrates, mischievous grin ever present as he uses his thumb and middle finger to gently nudge the bottom of his glasses upwards. his head tips forward with the motion so he looks at yeondu above the frame for a second only to lean back once he finishes the action. instead he reaches for the drink again, twirling the straw to keep it well blended.

"jokes aside though... this is pretty good. thank you."

"I didn't plan to be," jaehyun immediately snarks back with the whiny tone he knows grates on mingyue's nerves. "my alarm never went off," he begins to justify but doesn't even get the chance to engage in their usual banter when that nasty snitch decides to announce his presence to the other residents of the homey apartment.

he barely has time to flip the other off before his mother is already fuzzing and all up in his space, scolding him for not wearing a scarf and ruffling his hair with the strength of a woman that had to raise twins by her own. "it's just the cold- I'm not sick ma, no. mama! stop," he nags back as they practically talk over each other, laughter in his voice when the elderly woman grins back at him nudging his cheek a final time, causing the male to tilt his head with a giddy chuckle.

when they're all seated and jaehyun flops into the chair next to mingyue, he hums out an affirmative. "I was gonna head home but if you sleep here we could do a movie night? or game? haven't done one of those in a while."
