mattheo was a fan of anything that could get him out of the house, and too a fan of halloween. though mattheo had now reached being in korea for two years, he still didn’t have a lot of friends, mostly when he left his apartment, it was for work or to visit his grandmother. mattheo had always been used to friendships that would end as quickly as they begun, mattheo had met a lot of people in korea, but it was rare there ever was a second meeting. but mattheo was a guy who loved being around other people, he was a guy that much preferred being outside of his apartment than in it. so this event seemed amazing, and it was going on for long, and mattheo knew he’d visit as often as possible.

random play dance was something mattheo enjoyed, though he was still stuck with two left feet, it’d get better hopefully, it needed to be if he wanted to become an idol. for today he’s alone, went to the event with nobody else, he listens carefully if the next song is one he knows, and he does. it’s bite me, a choreography for two which mattheo learned alone. he’s quick to step into the circle, some people seem like they’ve already found a partner, he spots someone who stands alone like him “which part of the dance did you learn?” he’s quick to ask, before the chorus actually comes on.

usually jaehyun isn't the type to show his emotions in his eyes or his mannerisms. however jaehyun is also usually not the type to fall in love with his roommate.

the markets were beautiful and it was hard to not get caught up in the winter fairy tale wonder stories all these western movies presented. especially with how much of a romantic he knew daeho to be too.

just that there was nothing romantic about their friendship- courtesy of yours truly.

so when jaehyun walked up to place an order for them, leaving daeho waiting for him and queueing himself up, he didn't expect anything odd when he spotted dana and offered her a smile in greeting.

"i was thinking of like a blue rug. how does that sound?"

it was only after jueun started living on her own that she realized how much fun it could be decorating a house. of course, she didn't completely live on her own, but it's not like she ever intruded any of the common living spaces with dana. she simply wanted to be able to do something with her own room.

"or would that clash with my bed covers? because that's a little on the neutral side, right?" she was referring to the greyish bed covers, which weren't her number one choice but simply what she brought from home. nevertheless, this was probably no big deal to other people, but she loved spending time on all sorts of aesthetics.

she picked up a cushion that had caught her eye before putting it back down because of its texture. she wanted something softer. "i know it sounds ridiculous that i'm doing this because of the season change, but i feel like i can definitely make my room feel more like winter with these changes!"

despite his resting bitchface, people knew jaehyun to be a people pleasure and dana was no exception to that- or at least so he thought. looking at the wide and joyous smile on her lips, the male got the fleeting suspicion that spread itself through his intestines about potentially being faced with a naive soul that was a bit too infatuated with him.

sniffing more out of habit than actually having a runny nose, he let his eyes drift across the scene she'd dragged him too, hands in his pockets so she would hopefully not get the idea of trying to link their fingers together.

"alright. now that you got me here- what's the plan, m'dear lady?"

"wait, this is absolutely adorable."

jueun pulled on dana's arm to get the other to stop in front of the booth that had caught her attention. while halloween was nothing special in her book, it was a nice time to be out and get inspiration. some people could get very creative when it comes to their costumes, and she needed to see some out-of-this-world costumes from time to time.

the booth she had stopped at was selling a bunch of hair accessories, and she couldn't help but admire all of them. they were very clearly handmade, and the details were indescribable. "what do you think about this one?" jueun had picked up what looked like a ribbon made of fake bones. it could look a little creepy to some, but she thought it was incredibly genius.

"this looks like it took forever to make." she could tell from the way the design came together, but this would have taken some time to put together. "i think it'd look cute on your hair too!"

reach for the apples

fall season had begun, the activities of summer were being left behind. noel liked every season of the year, all of them had something special to them, winter the snow, spring the flowers, summer the beach, and fall had this cozy feeling. noel’s schedule had become filled with the same things, and the male definitely needed something new, every day was a repeat, school, practice and work. as much as noel loved it all, he was a fan of school, liked practicing and liked to see his coworkers, he just needed a change, do something else than what he did every day, so, he invited dana ( @danaxbe ) out to apple picking.

“i am one big fan of apples, or just fruit in general, i was out plucking strawberries during the summer, now i’m plucking apples, a shame there aren’t really any fruits you can pick during winter” noel gives a smile to the shorter, then stretches his arm and plucks another apple. “so how is life going? anything new or exciting?”.

there’s book smart, there’s street smart, and then there’s kou smart. which honestly, is a bit like a culmination of both. kou isn’t entirely sure how he’s gotten this far — his friends would describe him as a … simple guy. with not too many thoughts in his mind (ever), which couldn’t be closer to the truth. how he’d gotten into university was one thing, but how he’d gotten into a university in korea by half an accident was a whole other thing altogether.

right now though, kou was well aware of the fact that he needed to live in the present. and presently, he needed to pass his classes. which is exactly why he’s thankful that dana’s offered to help — kou, particularly, feels like the sort of person that is in constant need of help.

“so this,” he begins, trying to explain whatever concept he’d just learnt, before he pauses. “this uh,” yeah, he can’t remember a thing. “this, is confusing,” he finally gives in. “help, please.”

it’s then when it hits. the sudden tickling of the nose, the teary eyes, and then… the sneeze. “achoo!” he covers his mouth quickly and looks around. “s-sorry,” he says, half surprised by himself. “i didn’t know i was sick… unless…” unless there’s a cat nearby.

it's been a while now that stevie's left california. he still misses it-- don't get him wrong. he dreams of going back. and he will! one day. he'll make sure of it.

he's always chasing the feeling of little bits of home, though. always happy to have a reminder of california. which is why it's pretty exciting to stevie when he finds out that his math tutor is from san diego, of all places. same ground! kinda!

"so, dana." he starts in english, crossing his arms behind his head as they walk. "what do you like to do? outside of, y'know. math." he cracks a grin as he shoots her a glance. it's partially why he's asked her to hang out today. as a way to make friends outside of bookwork and stevie five minutes away from bashing his head into the table. "not that it isn't like, cool or anything," he's quick to defend. "but is there anything more...fun...that you'd like to do?" stevie cracks a a little awkward laugh.
