Oath Day

Sept. 5, 2016 – New cadets experience VMI’s New Market heritage during Oath Day at New Market Battlefield State Historical Park.  Yesterday’s activities included not only taking the New Cadet Oath, but also exploring the Virginia Museum of the Civil War, learning Civil War-era rifle manual, charging the battlefield, receiving their shoulder boards, and marching through downtown New Market. – VMI Photos by Stephen Hanes and H.
