Hey you guys! With our Indiegogo exploding like it is, we decided to do a contest because contests are fun! There are two branches to this contest and they have pretty cool prizes! The deadline is June 30th!
The Bad Fan Fiction Contest
Think you can write bad fan fiction? Prove it! Pick a snippet of flavor text from any card in our game (don’t worry — it’s totally free to download!) and use it as a fan fic prompt. Write a piece of fiction that is at least 100 words but not longer than 3000 based on that snippet. We encourage all the hallmarks of bad fiction: melodrama, purple prose, whatever floats your boat!
Prizes:
We will choose three winners! All three winners will have their fiction featured here on the TSSSF blog, complete with any links to blogs or whatever you might want us to put.
The first place, grand prize winner, however, will get a picture drawn by Pixel Prismof a part of their story!
Rules:
It can’t be rated higher than PG
You must write based off one of the ficlets on the cards. You do NOT have to include the prose on the cards at all, however.
It still has to be an enjoyable reading experience. There’s a line to walk here, re: bad fiction. Ham it up, but don’t make it unreadable.
Again, at least 100 words but no more than 3000 words.
Wherever you post it, you have to link to this post!
How to Submit:
Post it somewhere: your blog, your deviantart, wherever, then send us an email at [email protected] with the subject line Fanfic Writing Contest Submission.Include the link to your work, the card you based it off of, as well as whatever blurb you’d like us to post with it should you win. (Good details to include: where to find you online, a one-sentence explanation of who you are, etc).
The Fan Art Contest
Now for the other part of the contest! Just like the fiction contest, grab a prompt off any of the cards and draw a picture of it! Not an artist? No worries! We’re basing this on content, not talent. If your picture does a good job of telling a story, you can totally win!
Prizes
All three winners will have their art featured on the TSSSF blog, along with the blurb they send with their entry.
The first place grand prize winner will have their art printed on a card! It’ll be printed and sent to them in the mail and a link to the PNG will be provided on the blog.
Rules
Your picture must be rated no higher than PG.
You must draw based on one of the ficlets on the cards. You do NOT have to draw exactly what’s in the ficlet, but extrapolate out further if you want to.
Your picture must be at least 770x568px 300dpi. If you go bigger than that, keep the same ratio.

I will most definitely write something for this. The entire game is about bad shipping and fanfics, so it deserves it. It really does. If there was an event for making fan music, I would totally do that too.
