this is the stupidest goddamn thing i've had to lay my eyes on today.

#I hate that I'm (not actually) defending even for a microsecond but he clearly means #'nobody' does not sound like a name to much of this audience's ears #he wasn't able to work out a pun in /english/ that doesnt break his own immersion and he assumes yours too.#that it doesn't come across clever it just makes the cyclops sound stupid #bc he's sooo fixated on realism #and like nolan. it's a fantasy chill tf out. we've been doing this since batman oh my god #I will be trying to think of other puns now though. being a fic writer can be hard because sometimes you’ll get a random scene in your head and be like “oh this is neat! can i get some context?” and the characters go “lol no, figure it out” and so you need to shake your own brain like it’s a piggy bank like come on, there’s gotta be some more quarters in here . . .
