Resting her head in her hand, Lorelai’s eyes gazed over the surrounding area.  She found herself people watching instead of focusing on the assignment in front of her.  Suprisingly, the surrounding area of the Great Hall was fairly busy for this time of the day. It was after dinner and usually when a majority of students began to clear out to head back to their common rooms, Lorelai remained there to catch up on homework. 

With the noise and antics of other students in the Great Hall, it was evident that this was not going to be the case tonight but Lorelai didn’t mind. Her eyes were fixed to one person in the great hall, quite amused as she took in their actions. Lorelai raised her voice slightly to attract the attention of who she was observing, amused. Not too sure if her amusement was at the expense of the person or she was amused alongside them. “Are you sure that seems like a good idea?” 

Having arrived late to dinner, Bella had taken her time to enjoy the meal and chat up some of her friends. Classes had been dull and things had calmed down after all the drama the happened after the party. One by one her friends had excused themselves and headed to the common room and so her attention had turned to the other students around her. Nibbing away on some bread she found her eyes drawn to an innocent fourth year at the neighboring table, pulling her wand out to point it towards the unsuspecting student before a voice rang out, “Of course I do.” She replied, head turning towards the youngest Wilkes siblings. “Unless you’ve got something that would be funnier.”

Edgar let out a frustrated sigh as the other. “Is there a problem here?” It’s as if Bellatrix found fault in everything that Edgar did and felt obliged to mention it. “You seem to be awfully interested in my families affairs and although I’m sure you’re an expert at quidditch, otherwise why else would you be commenting on my flying, I think I’m doing alright. But thank you.” He mounted his broom before spinning around to face Bellatrix. “Honestly, my sister and I are very different and I think next time you should get to know me before assuming I’m pressed under her thumb.” || @bellaxblack​ 

Now there was the fire she had associated with the Bones family, well at least Amelia. “Not at all,” She smirked, there wasn’t a problem with Edgar besides his annoyingly kind personality. “Not an expert, per say, just an observation is all.” Her shoulders shrugged and she was taking his mounting his broom to get back in the air as her cue to leave. There was no part of her that wanted to get to know Edgar or anyone else like him in her free time, why would she waste her time with blood traitors when there was a possibility of associating with a Mudblood. “Like I said, it’s just observations. I’ve known your sister for a long time and she’s not my favorite, I wouldn’t wast my time getting to know you.”

regulus wanted to voice his displeasure with lucinda and how her seeking skills don’t come close to his, but the boy opted to keep quiet on the matter. “rab and i have been working hard on some technique that we’re gonna use so i think in the beater aspect, we’re good. the only chaser i can speak for right now is gosforth – she’s always showing us all up on the pitch.” regulus admired the older slytherin in the sport. he even though emma could stand to learn a thing or two from her teammate, but regulus would never say such a thing. “but i think we’re in a good place. if you ask emma, she’ll probably say we’re all dogshit.” @bellaxblack​

Bella knew how important it was for the beaters to work together during a game, but it made her glad to see both her cousin and her friend work hard to work together. Hopefully that teamwork would carry over into their plans outside of the quidditch pitch. “I’ll be sure to watch the two of you,” She replied, grabbing her juice as he spoke more of the team. “Well if there’s such good players, I see a good outcome for us.” The brunette couldn’t help but agree with Regulus, Emma would probably think that they still needed all the work until it was the time for the game to start. “I’d say it was the stress to do good but I think she just has the highest expectations for you guys.”

Usually, Melchior’s eyes would be able to glide over stories of blood-traitor rebellions and staged protests with a simple roll of his eyes and a condescending laugh. Over the last few months, Melchior felt that his ignorance of the situation was doing more harm than good. Power lay in the hands of the pureblood families and many of his peers seemed determined to keep it that way. If Melchior chose to remain with a more passive side of the argument, the Parkinson name was sure to be left in the dirt as the more aggressive sides took off.  Melchior was strategical, he wanted power and he knew that making connections was the only way to truly establish himself as more than just the Parkinson boy. A tut of satisfaction fell from Melchior as Bellatrix responded. “I hope so, if only we weren’t stuck in this castle.” He spoke, his eyes peering over a strayed newspaper to the other side of him. “The ministry seems to be allowing this to happen? Without consequence? It’s ridiculous if you ask me.” @bellaxblack·

With growing darkness in the wizarding community came the usual rebellions, she had already been taking notice of the papers stories and publications about them all. It was only obvious that Charity had gathered inspiration for her own movement from those outside of the castle walls. “Not for long,” She replied, turning back to her food for a moment. She was mostly speaking about herself as graduation was drawing nearer but she was sure her Lord would have plans for those that she had recruited that were unfortunate enough to still be in school. “Because they’ve said they want to be neutral and acting on stopping either side would be bad for their image,” She tutted, honestly by not doing anything they had already taken a side in her opinion but she’d make sure they reported on the right things soon enough.

Andromeda searched her sister’s face for some sort of an inclination she knew what was coming but came up empty handed. Of all the things Andromeda could have spoken to her sister about, she probably wouldn’t have thought Amelia would be one of them “I was speaking with Amelia Bones, or rather Amelia Bones came over to me and ambushed me for lack of a better term, well not quite ambushed but took me by suprise…” Andromeda chose her words very carefully. Her sister was very loyal to their family and she was well aware even the wrong choice in words might end up making things worse for her flame haired foe. “… anyway she said something rather odd to me. Bellatrix tell me honestly.” Andromeda moved in closer to her sister, lowering her voice to a soft whisper. “That you used one of the unforgivable curses on her.” Her voice got slightly sterner as she said the category of the spell. “I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that using them lands you with a one way bloody ticket to Azkaban, Bellatrix. I know she’s a shit but what the bloody hell were you thinking?”

Looking her sister in the face, Andromeda once again looked for a reaction but couldn’t see anything past Bellatrix’s regular stoney exterior. “She must be making it up surely to get under my skin, since it seems quite evident she despise me, but in the event it is true you need to be more careful Bella.” Her older sister did not need a lecture from Andromeda, nor would she take one, but Andromeda was WORRIED and only when she felt like this did she truly dare challenge her sister. “I don’t want anything bad to happen to you and those curses, I know that we’ve been raised to think a certain way but no witch or wizard deserves to have have them used on them unless they’ve done truly terrible things.”

The seriousness of the situation had Bella expecting the topic to revolve around Andromeda or even Narcissa at this point but as far as she knew, there was nothing wrong with her sisters. But when her sister mentioned the Head Girl, her hands curled into fists wondering if the redhead had gone too far again. If she was going off targeting her family, then the elder girl was going to put a stop to it. Though the more her sister spoke, the more confused she became, what was it that Bones said that had Andie coming to her? The scooting closer and leaning in towards her had her eyebrows raising, fists uncurling, what the bloody hell was going on now. “I beg your pardon?” Used on Unforgivable on her, now Bella was laughing. Like well and truly laughing at the audacity that Amelia Bones had to lie and turn things in her own favor. As crazy as she was, she had more control than that, especially with the Head Girl.

She appreciated the concern Andromeda was showing towards her but there was no need for it. Nothing of the sort happened, it was all just words at this point. Bella knew if she wanted to do any damage she couldn’t draw that kind of attention to herself while Dumbledore was Headmaster. “Relax, I didn’t do anything to her,” She replied after she had composed herself, leaning back into the couch now that she knew there was nothing wrong. “I didn’t know she wanted to lie her way to becoming the victim here but that’s not what happened.” The brunette was curious though why Amelia had come speaking like that towards her sister but it was obvious that Andie wanted the truth from this situation. “I’ll be honest and tell you what actually happened,” She spoke, waving her hand at the ridiculous lies being spread now. “In all honesty, I did confront her about what Skeeter wrote about her and Rod. Walden appeared at some point and I was joking that the only way Bones could’ve got a Slytherin was with an Imperio curse. That’s it. She’s the one that threatened Walden and myself with the other two curses, in her words ‘one for each of us’.” On top of Amelia threatening them with the same threats that they got in trouble for, she was here lying about the entire situation. “I never raised a wand in her direction, I know better than that, Andromeda. Trust me I know what would happen if I did use any of those curses against her and I’m not that eager to end up behind bars this young.”

“We might even find a young Gryffindor while we’re at it, you know how easily they tend to get rivaled up in their noble fits of passion.” Scoffing, he shook his head lightly with dismay. Though they were not the most easy house to get along with - though notably Evan tended to stay within the Slytherin house hold -, they were fun to poke once in a while just for the fun of it. If he was feeling particularly full of anguish, it would typically linger around the Gryffindor table. Knowing he’d easily be able to pick a fight or two when it came to their often hot headed braver. Stupidity if you asked Evan.

“The day I can’t hold my liquor is the day I’m seven feet under and it seeps out of my bones. Even then when i’m burning in hell, I plan on doing shots with Lucifer.” Evan spoke sarcastically, a devilish grin pulling onto his features as he took a final long drag from his cigarette before stubbing it out on the wall. Scoffing, he rolled his eyes as he looked over to his cousin. “Don’t lie you know you fucking would, you’d mock the shit out of me.” The male spoke as he glanced to the side at his cousin. It was all fun and games though. As bitter and resentful as Evan had grown since his fathers death, he always held some amusement and granted a soft spot - as much as he would deny it - for his family. Specifically Bellatrix. “Sorry to burst your bubble but it’s what you get for dressing up as a muggle. Even if she was a powerful ruler. You should have gone as female Grindelwald, that would have given them something to talk about. Did you have fun though? @bellaxblack​

"Probably one who hasn’t heard the rumors about us yet,” Bella smirked, though at this point she’d be surprised if anyone hadn’t been given a warning about how ruthless she could be. Ever since her dreadful cousin had been sorted into the house of lions, she had made it a mission to torment them whenever she could. It was only a benefit that she found some of her favorite victims in that house along the way. They were very easily angered and it brought joy to her knowing that with something as little as an insult could get them going.

The brunette shook her head with laughter, at least some of her family took pride in their tolerance level as she did, “I’ll be right there with you, trust me.” There was no way he’d be going down for all the fun without her, not on her watch. “Okay, so maybe I would,” She shrugged her shoulders, no problem admitting that even her family wasn’t safe from her judgment. She wasn’t a judgmental bitch for no reason. “And have someone show up as actual Grindelwald, no thanks,” Her nosed crunched up at the idea of someone even matching her costume. “Could’ve been more fun but maybe that’s just because I didn’t find myself surrounded with the good friends of ours that like to drink their weight. Did you?”

Edgar furrowed his eyebrows as Bellatrix spoke. What did she know about his family dynamics? Sure, who didn’t know Amelia but she wasn’t too bad.. was she? “Why do you say that? I normally have the freedom to do what I want, regardless of what Amelia has to say.” Perhaps she was suggesting that once Amelia had found out that Bellatrix and he had spoken she might buckle down on him, but there’s no way in hell he’d allow that to happen. “Okay well. If you don’t mind, I’m just going to continue practicing unless there’s anything else you have to say?” His words were sassy but his tone was steady and polite. || @bellaxblack​ 

“Sure you do,” Bella spoke with a shrug of her shoulders, “For now at least.” Maybe she should just slip it into conversation the next time her and Amelia crossed paths that she had ran into the youngest Bones. Or maybe she’d sit back and watch as siblings argued about her when she had been spiteful to Amelia but the opposite to Edgar. Either way things would be quite a scene to watch. “Don’t let me stop you, Bones, your flying could use all the extra work you can get.” Bella could only be so polite for so long without dropping at least a dig or insult into her words, it was just her personality and she’d love to see the aftermath between siblings when the Head Girl found out about this conversation.

“Now that would be a sight to see,” Bella smirked, taking note of his disgust to use against him at some point or another. Maybe in a drunk round of Truth or Dare, or something similar. Time was ticking and while she enjoyed her time to get used to the school year, she was here for business now. “I’m glad to see you make exceptions,” She rolled her eyes, though she was happy she didn’t have to resort to groveling to get him to help her. “I assume you’ve given more thought to what we talked about last? Have you taken notice of anyone else that could do well to work with us?”

He nodded at her, relieved to see that she still looked at him with respect and was on the same wavelength regarding furthering their conversations outside the Hogwarts halls. There was something calming about the certainty in her eyes. He knew what kind of darkness she was talking about, of course. He wasn’t stupid. He was aware that she was probably hoping to bring even more darkness to the table. But there was no one else at the moment who felt capable of delivering the same power, importance, and certainty that she was promising. He didn’t have much more to say to her, knowing she wouldn’t want to be bothered by any more of his schoolboy stories, and something in her posture made him feel like he shouldn’t waste any more of her time on his Hospital visit. “Thank you for stopping by. I’ll make sure to brush up on my duelling and keep my head down – focus on school for a while, hone my skills, and hopefully we can catch up soon,” he said in a collected voice. @bellaxblack​

As much as she didn’t like seeing those she had trusted picking fights with one another, Bella knew that with the right words they would understand the were on the same side. She knew that when she was done speaking with Landon, she’d be headed straight for Walden to hear his side of things and get him to understand. Her army was growing and with any luck, Landon would be apart of it soon enough, but she wanted to be sure she knew were his loyalties lie. “Let’s make sure these visits don’t happen again,” She replied, if he wanted to show himself then the next time she heard he got into a fight, she was going to hope Landon wasn’t weak enough to end up here once again. “Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts are the perfect places to start,” The brunette nodded, turning away from his bed and towards the door. “You’ll hear from me soon Boot. Other than that keep the fighting to a minimum yeah?”

regulus didn’t particularly care too much about the information he was asking about, but luckily it was taking his mind off of the upcoming game. he still wasn’t sure if he comprehended how much his life had changed. regulus barely recognized himself sometimes. the old regulus resurfaced when he was with sybill, andromeda, or scarlet for some reason – the new regulus showed up around everyone else, especially his eldest cousin. a part of him resented how much different he felt. regulus nodded at bella, taking bites of his toast. “will do. thanks.” it had been over a week since he and rabastan discussed anything pertaining to the mission so he was sure his friend had a lot to say about the matter and when he did relay his information, regulus would half-listen like he always did. “going to the match?”. @bellaxblack​

While she entrusted Rabastan with a lot of information towards their cause, she tried to include her family as much as she could. Even if both boys still hesitated in taking the position she had thrust them into. They were still young and she could still have her hand at molding them into great soldiers that they needed to be, after they graduated from Hogwarts. Glad to have his acknowledgement about their future plans, Bella turned back to finishing up her own plate of breakfast and coffee. “Of course,” She smiled, that rare and small smile she reserved for her family, “Wouldn’t miss it. Thoughts on how you’ll do?” She wasn’t the biggest fan of Quidditch but she tried to show up her school spirit when Slytherin played, more so for her own friends on the team and the hope of shoving it in the lions’ faces.

If Narcissa had news to share with the world, then Bella believed she’d share on her own terms. Even if the brunette knew, it wasn’t her place to share and it definitely made her curious why Saskia was pushing for the information so much.  “By all means the Parkinson family can do whatever they want,” She replied, sharply, she cared more than her family than many would probably believe. Her family came first for everything. “But don’t assume my blasé attitude means I don’t care about my sisters.”

rodolphus rolled his eyes, willing bellatrix to leave him the fuck alone. he didn’t care for her speeches, her five minute monologues, or her opinion in general. he’d kissed the girl for less than five minutes. five minutes of his eighteen years and now people who barely knew anything about him were giving opinions about his life as if it were any of their business. it didn’t sit right with him. rodolphus knew he was going to be fucked when he entered the common room and in the dorm he shared with the same people for the past seven years – he was going to have hear about it from them, too, and yes, he was definitely looking forward to that.  “i don’t see how it’s any of your business the way i conduct my life,” rodolphus said coldly. “glad you seem to care about my image, though. it means a lot,” he added dryly. deep down, rod knew bellatrix was right. amelia was a very-well known blood traitor and even if he didn’t admit it out loud to her – he felt disgusted with himself for allowing her to get the better of him. he was weak willed, weak minded yesterday and under normal circumstances, rodolphus lestrange was anything but. he needed to fix the problem before christmas break which only gave him a little more than a month and as of this moment, had no solutions.  @bellaxblack​

Having grown up as passionate as she was about blood purity, she knew her lecturing on the right and wrong of the world wasn’t for everyone. But if one hears it repeatedly, then their opinion and thoughts may change. They were held to a different standard, as children of a Sacred Twenty Eight family as well as the eldest child, they were the heir to continuing on the line and if something like this got back to their parents. Well it would be a nightmare. But her mind also went to Rabastan and his want for his brother to know what it was they were up to, she didn’t know what the Dark Lord would do if they had suggested Rodolphus as a good ally yet this came to bite him in the ass. “You’re right it’s not,” She replied with a shrug, not a care in the world if he was now angry with her for lecturing him. “But would you prefer to sit back and let word spread past the castle walls or stand your ground and fix the problem?” To be quite honest, the brunette had always hoped to see Rodolphus change his ways, at least in the attempt to join his brother in her ranks. But if he chose to keep his head down and out of sight, he held no stomach for the chaos she was building an army for. “We are better than them, we are stronger witches and wizards than them, we should be putting them in their place. Not allowing them to think they can walk all over us.”

alice couldn’t help but chuckle at her what she was insinuating - didn’t last too long before she realized that she probably wasn’t kidding, “that’s a joke, right?” shrugging as she adjusted her newly bandaged wrist, the pressure relieving her of the pain that came with the victory. 

“we don’t need spells to win – with quidditch there’s an honour code, you win because you’re talented, not because beating someone is more important– so important that you have to cheat” it had been quite the win, slytherin hadn’t stood a chance, and maybe she could understand why someone could think that, but they didn’t operate like that - they won because they played the sport well, nothing more - nothing less. 

Bella gave the girl an unimpressed look as she started to laugh, she was serious and didn’t believe that Potter could get his team together enough to play a game like that without some kind of help. “Right, honor,” She replied with an eye roll, she knew as much from Emma that she tried to play the game fair but the Slytherin knew that with friends like hers on the team, someone was bound to go about cheating for the win. “Right, because Saint Potter has great leadership skills,” Her tone was incredibly sarcastic, she doubted that Potter’s right hand man, her own disowned cousin would play Slytherin without his stupid tricks up his sleeve.

Melchior didn’t often read the Daily Prophet, typically his eyes skimmed over it during breakfast whilst other students fawned over the on-goings of the wizarding world. It seemed to be featured with sit on the fence politics, which Melchior despised more than anything. He would be an idiot to say that he respected blood-traitors but at least they had the gall to admit their tomfoolery with mudbloods and muggles, rather than the ones who deemed themselves ‘neutral’ in their opinions. There was nothing worse than people who sat on the fence to avoid being criticised, Melchior had no respect for people like that.  Catching a glimpse of the headline as he made his way down the corridor, Melchior couldn’t help the anger that grew at the pit of his stomach which caused him to snatch it off the reader and head to Bellatrix.  “What has happened when the most popular wizard newspaper in Britain is covering news like this? Someone ought to send a warning.” @bellaxblack·

It was only as of late that Bellatrix had taken to skimming the Daily Prophet, more for the information about attacks that were unidentified and could easily be the Dark Lord making a statement rather than just the boring reports. Obviously she missed stories here and there but there was always one of her friends to push it right back to her, letting their own opinions shine as Melchior was. Her eyes raised at his words, her gaze falling on him for the moment as she thought over her next few words, “I’m sure we’ll see someone send a warning soon.” She replied, giving him a smirk that one would say she knew more but was careful of the eyes and ears around them. She never doubted for a moment that Melchior could be a good soldier and servant to the Dark Lord, but the snark in his words told her that he was on the verge of entering the darkness she had welcomed herself just last year.

Edgar squinted from the sun as he looked over as she spoke. She seemed unimpressed by the fact that Edgar even existed but he tried to not take it personally. Perhaps she had just had a long day. “My Siblings?” He repeated. He’d gotten used to being in the shadow of Amelia and Henry, especially from professors and older students, but he was never always with them. Actually, because of that, he was almost never with them. “They don’t tell me what I can and can’t do. Yeah, Amelia could be controlling, but I always find a way to escape. I’m my own wizard.” His tone wasn’t harsh but rather as if he had practised this little speech of his in the mirror multiple times and it had just become a phrase. “Why are you alone?” || @bellaxblack​ 

With a sister like Amelia, she was sure he spent most of his childhood trying to shrug off her controling attitude and it probably didn’t help that she had become Head Girl this year. How anyone could put up with the girl was beyond her. “I’m sure they try,” She mused, more to herself than Edgar, as Bella didn’t quite believe the older Bones siblings would let the youngest one out of their sight. Especially when people like her were causing chaos. “I wouldn’t count on that freedom for long,” The brunette muttered, no doubt Amelia would have something to say about the Slytherin approaching her sibling after the conversation they had earlier. Shrugging her shoulders, she glanced around the pitch, squinting as she tried to cover her eyes from the sun, “Felt like getting out of the castle.”

Edgar wasn’t expecting Bellatrix to be standing there and the oddment froze him for a second. He then rose to his feet and brushed himself off, giving the other a smile. “Bellatrix. Hi.” He pulled out his wand, which had thankfully not broken, from his inner pocket and accio’d his broom to his hand. “It was a hard catch, I – I would have caught it otherwise.” He said, trying to convince the other that he was actually somewhat good at quidditch. “I wasn’t expecting anyone to be here. I hope I wasn’t disturbing you.” He said as he shifted uneasily. He’d heard of Bellatrix Black and her purist ways, but Edgar wasn’t one to discriminate on people from the get-go. However, he was still a fourth year in the presence of a powerful purist and that made him a little uneasy. || @bellaxblack​ 

“Youngest Bones,” Paired with a quirked eyebrow, that was all he got as a greeting. Prior to the Halloween party, his sister wasn’t her favorite person and after the argument the girls got into, Amelia was further on her list of people to hate so this should be fun. “Sure, you would have,” She nodded, honestly not caring about how good or bad of a player he was, she only came out here out of curiosity. “Only passing,” Her arms were crossed over her chest, “Now why is it you’re out here all alone? Figured your siblings don’t let you out of their sight.”

elliott  hadn’t  slept  in  days  and  he  blamed  his  damn  pet  for  running  away.  he  was  starting  to  get  worried.  “have  you  seen  a  kneazle  around  here?  looks  like  a  cat  but  his  ears  are  like  this  big,”  he  made  a  vague  gesture  with  his  hand  before  dropping  it  to  the  table.  “he  wandered  off  a  few  days  ago  and  i  haven’t  seen  him  since.”  he  lifted  his  hand  again,  this  time  to  rub  at  his  jaw.  “last  time  he  came  back  with  someone’s  pet  rat  in  his  mouth.  it  was  still  alive  though,  i  think  he  just  wanted  a  friend  and  he  doesn’t  get  along  with  my  roommates  cat.”

Bella quirked an eyebrow at him before shaking her head, “Not that I’ve seen.” She wasn’t really someone who was always looking out for the lost pets.
