AMYCUS
Her smirk unsettled him, for just a moment. Amycus owed her, now. There was no telling what she would want, what she would make him do. But he’d had no other choice.
He would do it again, in a heartbeat.
“That depends. How good are you at keeping quiet?”
Her smirk was wicked; still planted firmly on her lips. “You need to ask? I’m offended, love, I am.” As much as the words burned on her tongue, she added, with a dismissal wave of the hand, “On with it. Lead the way, Carrow.”
LILY
“You seem pleased about that fact,” Lily commented mildly.
“And why shouldn’t I be? It’s more fun this way.”
EMMA
“And what void do you fill?”
“All of them, easily, though bureaucracy has never been my forte. Ruling over an empire, however, that’s an entirely different story. I say, let’s bring back the British Empire. Let me be your empress.”
MATILDA
“Do you deliberately miss the point so you can keep arguing?”
“Arguing? Why, here I thought we were having an entirely civil discussion. Mea culpa.”
❧ ––– ❛ HEADCANON❜
002. Her wedding night, 1969. Eighteen years passed in a house full of ghosts and the possibility of an eternity spent rotting in another.
- ❛ D O Y O U L O V E M E ? -❜
(A question simple enough to answer, at least on the surface. Clenched teeth, legs spread, her back pressed against the cold embrace of the mattress, as if all of this wasn’t humiliating enough. )
- ❛ D O Y O U L O V E M E ? -❜
(A question Tom had asked, once. Bloodied lips and clenched fists. A mouth spitting CURSES was a mouth he could not control. )
- ❛ D O Y O U L O V E M E ? -❜
(Andromeda, drenched in rainwater, mascara s t r e a k i n g down porcelain cheeks, clutching an aged leather suitcase in gloved hands. Standing on her doorstep - and HERE, the urge to spit in her FACE.)
The same answer. Truth glibly grazing across her tongue.

GRETA
“How are you so certain? It’s an hypothetical situation, so, you can’t be one hundred percent sure.”
“It’s a commonly-held lie that there are no certainties on this earth. There is, in fact, one thing that can be relied on: yourself. I know myself. I know how’d I act. And, believe me, if I was the one in charge of world destruction, I’d give myself enough time to flee before everything went belly-up.”
LILY
“That may be the case, but I don’t think you’re what the Buddhists quite had in mind.”
I hardly think I’m what anyone had in mind.
MATILDA
“I wasn’t the one who claimed it wasn’t a theory. That, I’m quite sure, was you.”
“If we have two theories, and neither of them is-on paper-entirely more valid than the other, who’s to say which is correct?”
EMMA
“I’d be open to any possibility as long as my name is thrown into the pool to replace them.”
“Which is still unlikely, considering that I’m still not even a lawyer. But if the world is being killed, I’m sure I’d be able to fill that void.”
I suppose anyone would. The Ministry is an assortment of foul c--nts and downright buffoons-who doesn’t think himself worthy of replacing them?
“Merlin, poor thing” she muttered, looking at the Daily Prophet announcing the Minister of Magic’s recent death. She did suspect someone was behind this, but maybe it was just bad luck and health.
“Rodolphus supposed he was just tempting fate- he said that they’d suggested mediwitches at state gatherings as of late, but the Minister had refused. He called it foolish- but, all the same, the man was far less timid than the rest of us in his last few months.”
ALECTO
“What’s with that face?” She couldn’t help but frowned and slightly annoyed, as she had failed to place the hint of gleefulness that was flashing on the other woman’s features. As if a mischievous kind of thoughts relating to her was appearing in her mind. “Oh, you know the drill.” Alecto shrugged. “Have fun with it. But still, make it less obvious for everyone to put the blame on you.”
“I can’t say I know what you mean,” Bellatrix replied, still the picture of impish glee. The Carrow siblings at her beck and call? Positively miraculous. “Less obvious?” She laughed. “Love, I’m a Black and a Lestrange. The dolts in the ministry could find one of us at the scene of the crime with fingerprints all over the guilty wand and we wouldn’t be charged.”
NARCISSA
“As if my husband will allow that to happen. That is not going to happen in the near future, as far as I know. Lucius doesn’t seem to keen of having him around, not with his witty comment about my inability to give him a worthy heir.” She sighed, holding on her sister’s arm as they make her way through the crowded alley. Narcissa pursed her lips, slowly blowing air and watch her breath turned into a mist. She can never recall, when did the last time walking through the crowd becoming an obstacle for her. Perhaps, her main concern is to have her belly crushed by the trespassers. She had grown attached to her small bump for the past few weeks and even find herself occasionally talking to her son dreamily. And her sister’s remark only make herself sounds like a loon.
Druella was the only maternal figure Bellatrix had ever seen. And, given that Mama had locked six-year-old Bellatrix in a musty closet in the fourth floor attic for the better part of a day, she was an utterly shoddy one at that. Bellatrix felt a surge of sororal protectiveness rush through her veins. “Oi! You, with the greasy hair, move it!” She snarled, elbowing her way with all the tenacity a Black woman could offer. “This isn’t the place to loiter. Either haul arse or I’ll haul for you. You do not want to get on my bad side today-move!”
CHORUS : Medea, why lie down with death? Why let desire have fatal sway?
Euripides, Medea (via antigonick)
“I will storm the Gods and shake the universe.”
-Euripides, 431 BCE (via pemberlaey)
AURORA
“What are you? A seven-year-old who disdainfully named someone after such a creature?”
“Don’t be facetious, little mouse. Cats can bite. And, luckily for you, I’m a bloody lioness.”
