The show ends with a faceless automaton army subjugating citizens.

Like, the show is about video game characters and magic. If you didn’t think we were gonna end with a big magic fight of some kind you were fooling yourself. But the thematic aspect remains consistent all the way through.

Every character has ways they think they can break the cycle.

Just take out Silco and everything will be fine.

Just enforce the laws harder and everything will be fine.

Just attack Piltover and scare them enough to give us independence and everything will be fine.

Just subjugate everyone into mindless drones and everything will be fine.

But there is no one solution to this problem and every time there are dire consequences.

Taking out Silco caused more infighting and violence between the Chem Barons

Enforcing the laws harder caused more rebellion and revolution.

Attacking Piltover just caused them to enforce harder.

Subjugating everyone just removes all human desire and experience.

He IS “the wrath of Zaun.” Where’s the cycle of violence there? Because it’s not going to affect him. Even Zaun is scared shitless of him. If the cycle of violence is a thing, why is every action against him end with him winning? If Piltover tries to kill him, they can’t. If they try to enforce him and make him a criminal, he will just tear through whatever that looks like. What kind of cycle of violence exists if we have people that consistently benefit from engaging with it?

Finally, Zaun themselves. Sorry, but not a thing has changed. They are still oppressed. They are still under Piltover’s heel. They will still be the root cause of a chemical weapon that begins to destroy mother nature itself. How does a cycle of violence even exist if Mother Nature itself can be attacked with no overt consequences to the people that did it?

Guess who did it as well? Singed. He already engaged in this “cycle of violence,” and what did he get for it? His daughter back. This cycle doesn’t seem to be affecting anyone really. Arcane season 1 was about that inherent political drama. Because no violence ensured Piltover got to stay on top of Zaun for as long as they did. This whole “cycle of violence” is just a way to ensure Piltover gets off scot free and is inherently stupid and naive. It’s not at all consistent with season 1. Season 1 showed the problems that existed with this class divide. Season 2 uses this “cycle of violence” to ensure that Piltover is fine and remains on top. The only thing that theme does is destroy every character involved in it.

Everytime I see someone thirsting after the scene and gushing about how it's so hot, I feel so disgusted and ticked cause of how the scene came about and where it's located.

—biting Sevika, gas the undercity and harshly interrogate someone who was a victim of Jinx's shenanigans, hit Vi for trying to calm her down from her grief driven rage, but oh, no Vi must calm down even though she's barely angry compared to when Caitlyn's angry. Not to mention that Caitlyn throws a tantrum herself and throws the tiny figure in her hand to the ground.

Don't get me wrong, Vi deserves to enjoy herself after everything that's been done to her; however, you aren't going to have normal, healthy, healing sex right after seeing a loved one leave you for good.

Trust me lol I've had enough grieving/traumatic experience to know that you can feel upset for hours and won't immediately be able to get into a happy mindset even if you find something to entertain yourself with. You can have people try to cheer you up and you feel a bit better, but you still feel that lingering horrible feeling inside that will eat at you for who knows how long. You could give me Steb wearing the cutest little red panties I have ever seen in my life and I'd still be sad while trying to eat him out. You need to give me that like a day or so AFTER my little breakdown cause I won't enjoy it right after crying about losing my sis.
