I’m not going to pretend I have any remaining allegiance to Discovery. The characters I liked best are either dead, missing or getting their own spin off, so that’s that on that.

Do I still stan one(1) hairy man? Of course. When I do come back, I’ll likely return as a multimuse and Ash will definitely be on the list. I’ve been getting the itch to come back and write, but it’s taking a backseat while I sort out other shit. In the meantime I’m always, always up for chatting and headcanons, so. I don’t know who needs to hear this, but it’s super fucked up that Discovery set up Ash a man with nothing. No crew, no family, no anything, just so they could make him dependent on Michael, with whom he has a mutually toxic relationship, and L’Rell, his fucking rapist. And in the end they continue to take away any sense of comfort he finds in he world.

See, that worked before. I just feel my portrayal of Ash is going further out of touch the more the show goes on and eventually he’ll be incompatible with other disco muses. I keep telling myself it’s stupid feeling that way but Discovery’s lack of proper exposition and minimal character development are definitely contributing factors.
