Transgirl life. Gender euphoria. Transitioning is good for you, doll:
"Have you ever heard of gender euphoria? While most people understand that gender dysphoria is part of what makes people realize they are transgender — most people may not be aware of gender euphoria.
Gender euphoria describes feeling “right” in your gender. When you can look at the way your gender is presented and received and feel happiness or joy.
You do not have to be transgender to experience gender euphoria, but many trans people do experience gender euphoria when they transition to the gender (or transitioning away from the gender) that is correct for them.
Gender euphoria has an effect on your mental and physical health. Even if we aren’t actively aware of the stress that gender dysphoria has on our health, we can notice when we feel better. Feeling less anxious, less depressed, and more at peace with your own body will definitely affect your quality of life for the better.
Although there are no studies on gender euphoria yet in trans patients, it has been shown treating PTSD in veterans has improved their quality of life. Studies have also shown that treating depression improves the physical health of older adults.
If gender dysphoria is causing stress in your life, easing that stress with sources of gender euphoria may be able to lessen the overall effect of stress on your body."
I wonder if she has tights to go with them?
It’s Always been True, but it’s Isn’t Always Pure
I guess this is the first time in a long time since I actually wrote anything new. I’m banking off of an old caption to share a little bit from my experience. There is a part of me that wonders if what I’m about to say is because of the generation I grew up in. I’m one of the GenX gals. I like the think of our generation as the bridge. If you’re a GenX-er, you probably know what I mean. Well anyway, this is not about generations XYZ Boomers or whatever. I simply would like to suggest that maybe girliness isn’t intended to blossom overnight. Maybe I’m wrong, but I feel like today’s culture pushes identification to hard upon young people. It’s like, “You have to know for certain who and what you are by the time you’re in high school!” I just don’t buy that. Even after graduation, there is so much about oneself for one to discover and to explore.
Let me put it like this: My middle son was diagnosed with Leukemia at age 12. He is now 18 and very healthy. He is also still a kid at heart. He lost his childhood to cancer and so he still lingers in some child-like tendencies. That’s not wrong at all. We let him be who he is and enjoy who he is…and we let him mature at his pace, not someone else’s. His “manhood” will come in his time, and we encourage him to find it in his time. Could anyone honestly say that he is behind? r maybe he is the one who is on track and others are reaching for their maturity too soon? I don’t really know the proper answer to that. Regardless, we love him to pieces. He is and will be an incredible human in society now and in the future.
Your utmost girliness isn’t going to happen over night, in my opinion. I have no doubt that it’s always been within you. Or maybe I mean, it’s always been you. That’s a tough one to debate (nicely of course). I guess what I’m trying to say is that there is no reason (again, imo) that you must force yourself to be girly because our society says you have to realize yourself and expose yourself and reveal yourself. I think it takes time. I’m not talking about wearing dresses tomorrow rather than boxers yesterday. I’m talking about the real stuff, the stuff that matters, the stuff that is deep within us.
When all is said and done, I guess I wrestling too much with how I wish to say this. So I’ll finish this little post with some brevity: Don’t feel like you have to force yourself. Mature into your femininity with ease and with grace–for your benefit and for others. You’ll appreciate it more by biting the fruit in your season rather than taking it before it’s time.
I love you, my girly friends. I’m unsure if this post resonates with you or not, but do know that I love you. I’d hug you right now if I could. You’re special to me, to the people around you, and to the world. No one should ever strip you of that. You’re YOU and that means you’re FABULOUSLY lovable.
