MAYTERNITY DAY 7: SIZE DIFFERENCE
Feeling my belly grow.
It was you. It was always you. I wanted a baby, and I specifically chose you to put one inside of me. I wanted to carry your baby. I wanted you to fill me up and make one with me. I wanted to make you a daddy alongside me, and now donât you see how happy I am?
How swollen and stuffed with your offspring thatâs writhing in me? How Iâm gonna have your baby and only yours, again, and again, and again. Donât worry, I want you to get me pregnant again. I want your babies, and only yours.
Look what youâve done to me, arenât you proud? You should be..Iâm the one carrying them in my belly. I chose you for this.
And Iâm not letting you go anytime soon.

something ive been thinking about lately is a couple, where one is very pregnant because the other is either really large or just a different species
I find it more cute, but this is a tummy account so
This dynamic? Is my jam.
Egg so big that when its time to lay it, it is completely stuck behind your pelvis, no matter how hard you push. After days of struggle, your body gives up, your contractions fading away. You are completely exhausted and defeated, fully believing youâll be stuck with this egg inside you forever now. Days turn into weeks, and you try to keep on going, eating for two still. The odd contractions come and go, but labor never begins again.
Weeks later, one night, you go to sleep, you stomach cramping particular hard tonight, but you had long lost hope it could be actual contractions⊠And you wake up violently to a harsh, familiar tightening all across your tummy, as it misshapens in bursts that sink and stretch the skin in ways you never had seen before, but throw you into a world of agony completely unlike your first failed birth. You try to push, but you realize something heavy and monstrous is rolling inside you.
Something that is hatching, having been incubated in the warm refuge of your worm all this weeks, as if it had been laid, and isnât all that pleased about its new, small home.
You are realizing too late. Even the signs of labor your ignored- but there is no time now, as your womb tightens and demands you to push, and you grit your teeth, sinking your hands into your aching belly and do just that. Squeezed by your overtaxed womb, the creature is guided downwards, and as it realizes finally where its path to freedom lies, its shoves its head into your pelvis with such force you feel your bones creak, and birthing fluids soak your sheets. Strangely, you donât feel its shell, perhaps its soft, but you have no time to worry about that right now.
Another contraction envelopes you, and combined with the creatureâs efforts, it begins to breach your birth canal, your pelvis creaking ominously. You scream, sweating, toes curling with effort, but you refuse to stop pushing until your body lets go off you. The babe squirms impatiently, what you guess is its tail, thick and heavy, slapping your lungs, cutting off your breath, but as another contraction takes over, you push just as hard as before, if not harder.
Youâve been given a second opportunity, and your hips might have been too small to pass the giant egg, but you WILL give birth to this creature. Even if it breaks you.
Huge belly in labor

I crawl out of bed slowly, had because I have to and half because I donât want to wake you. Itâs just past 2am but I canât sleep with your twins pressing on my bladder.
I waddle to the bathroom, my back aching from how heavy my belly has gotten. The boys were due two days ago and yet havenât made any moves to come out despite our best efforts.
I leave the bathroom and head towards the hall. If I canât sleep I might as well get a snack. Going up and down the stairs hasnât been easy but I take my time and make it down eventually. The promise of cookies and peanut butter keeping me going.
Itâs in the kitchen you find me, leaning forward on the counter, groaning as I feel the first real contraction. I feel your hands on my back, massaging my hips gently.
âBaby, whatâre you doing I couldâve gotten you some snacks,â you say, your voice gently but concerned.
I breathe deeply as the contraction passes, pushing myself back up, sighing as you slide your hands under my belly to support it. The babies kick in against your palms, my skin tight and red.
âI couldnât sleepâŠjust wanted to get a snack,â I reply, closing my eyes as I lean my head back in your chest. I smile as you kiss my cheek and neck. âYou have work I didnât want to wake you.â
âYou can always wake me up. You three are more important,â you say as your hands roam my belly more, pressing against the twins as they struggle to calm down after the contraction. âYouâre gonna pop any moment now and Iâm here to take care of you.â
I turn my head and kiss you, pressing my belly against you. âI love you.â
âI love you too.â You kiss me back, holding me as close as you can with our babies between us. âCome on letâs go back to bed. Iâll grab your snacks.â
I nod, starting my slow journey back up the stairs. âOreos and peanut butter please. And a red Gatorade.â I call over my shoulder.
I hadnât even made it halfway up the stairs when youâre next to me, snacks in one hand, your free one going to my back to help me up.
When I finally reach the stop I feel like Iâve run a marathon. I make my way back to bed, sitting heavily and leaning back against the headboard. You set my snacks next to me, smiling as I put the peanut butter jar on my belly and scoop it out with the cookies.
âThese two need to come soon,â I groan. âTheyâre so heavy nowâŠâ
I feel your hands on my belly, rubbing cool lotion into my skin. âI donât mind them cooking a bit longerâ you giggle.
âYou donât have to carry almost twenty pounds of baby,â I reply, play hitting your arm.
âDonât pretend you donât like being this big.â I close my eyes as you kiss my belly, your fingers teasing my belly button. âI know how much youâve liked growing my babiesâ
I moan and reach my hand to you, rubbing my fingers through your hair. âMmm it has been fun seeing how big I canât getâŠespecially with two babies.â
âMight just have to put three in you next time.â
âPromise?â
You smirk, coming closer to kiss me properly.
âYouâre gonna grow nice and round for me again and againâ
And I knew youâd keep that promise.
