This is a moving tune Andrew played for some friends and I in my old bedroom. Take a listen and let me know what you think.
Dear Sarah Chalke,
I have a proposition for you: you see, if I was not a barista, I wanted to be an actress. I have day dreams of being interviewed by Jimmy Fallon and beating him at Pictionary on the daily. I don’t have any serious connections to “the biz", other than Chuck Norris or maybe some guy from the disney channel, but let’s be real - you probably have more, and more legitimate ones at that. I propose an idea of some sort of life swapping reality show where, for a day (or week, idk), a celebrity and a civilian switch lives. Perhaps a celebrity who dreamed of being a barista and a barista who dreamed of being a celebrity, maybe something like that. I think America would eat it up.
You could fly to Clintonville, Ohio and work an 8 hour shift making decaf-four-pump-nofoam-extrahot-skinnymocha’s for the the people of this town, and I could fly to LA and work a 15 hour day on the set of “How to live with your parents" and maybe grab lunch with Zach Braff on my break (idk just spit-ballin), and it would be filmed and broadcast and get probably something like 18 million views or more (what’s good these days? whatever it is…it’ll get that…cause this is America).
Although we may look somewhat exactly opposite in appearance, we would meet up after our swap and exchange stories and find out how similar we are. For example: you played a character who was engaged to an architect from Ohio and IRL I was actually engaged to an architect from Ohio! (I mean, I ended up marrying my architect and you ran off with your baby’s daddy…but those are small details).
Just think about it okay? And when you realize how amazing this idea is, call me and we’ll work out the details. Cool? Cool.

National Proposal Day: Carter Moore and Brooke Howe
Carter Moore (@iamcartermoore) and Brooke Howe (@brookehowe) had been dating for a few years when Carter decided he wanted to propose by asking Brooke to “start an adventure for a lifetime.” He decided to surprise her with a trip to Portland, but there was one problem—neither of them had ever been to Portland before. Carter turned to Instagram friends in Oregon for ideas. With their help, Carter was able to plan the entire trip and even find the spot where he would ask Brooke to marry him.
Even though they’d never met the couple in person, two of Carter’s Instagram friends in Portland, Branden Harvey and his friend Colin Cabalka, decided to take Carter and Brooke’s visit to the next level and surprise them with an engagement party. When Carter and Brooke arrived back from Ecola State Park, they were greeted with music, balloons and a whole lot of love.
The video above is about the touching story of their engagement, told for the first time at that party. A warm congratulations to Carter and Brooke on National Proposal Day!
This was beautiful. enjoy.
gratitude and remorse
Spring is here and my soul is starting to produce some unanticipated fruit.
It's a healthy combination of gratitude (the kind that makes you feel all squishy and humble) and genuine contrition over wrongs done and rights left undone. It's both sour and sweet... entirely life giving. Soul citrus.
I owe thanks to so many. I owe apologies as well. A great debt of love.
If you've been waiting for either... please forgive me the long delay and grant me just a little more time. If still too much time passes... please let me know. It would be an honor to show you that I value you. humbly yours,
Bradley

So when Iʼm drowning out at sea And all your breakers and your waves crash down on me Iʼll recall your safety scheme Youʼre the one who made the waves And your Son went out to suffer in my place And to show me that Iʼm safe
