I first created my "Just Girly Things" site skin several years ago, using the Do You Love the Colours of the Sky skin from @ao3skin as inspo.
I was going to post it here today, but when I tested it out to take screenshots I realized that I've learned a lot since I made it years ago and so I spent the evening updating and improving it.
You can find the original skin, as well as the improved version pictured above, over here on github.
I recommend pairing it with @zerafinacss 's Replace the AO3 Icons 2.0 (reversi version). I think their choice of colours works better with this skin than AO3's default.
Editing to add: I also used @ao3skin's tag borders and backgrounds code!
I’d been trying to buy gems on the Japanese server for a while and had tried lots of different things, but since almost all the tutorials were outdated, they didn’t work for me ;;;; but I finally did it!
This tutorial is only for Android users and uses a credit card (I tried PayPal but it didn’t work for me).
The screenshots are in Spanish, but I’ll provide the translation.
You’ll need:
-VPN
-Credit Card
First of all, if your TWST account is linked to Google Play, you should unlink it and keep only your ID and password.
First, go to "Config"
Go to: "引き継ぎアカウント連携" and unlink your Google Account
Remember to have your ID and password in 引き継ぎパスワード
If the game is open, close it. You don’t need to uninstall it.
So let´s go~
1-Open the VPN and set the location to: Japan
I used Proton VPN, but you can use whichever one you prefer.
2-In your browser, search for: new google account and select the first option, “for myself”
If your Google account appears, look for where it says “Create account”
3-Enter the username and password of your choice.
If it asks for a recovery email or phone number, click “Skip.”
Accept all terms and conditions.
4-Now go to the Play Store. Log in to your new Japanese account and "Manage your Google account".
Go to "Personal Information"
This step is very important. Go to "Home Address"
Go to “Select on map” and search for any random address in Japan. It's important to zoom in close enough to the street you want to select so that Google can recognize it as a real address.
In my case, I selected a random address on Google Maps near Fukuoka.
5-Go back to the Play Store menu:
Go to "Payments and Subscriptions"
Go to "Payment Methods"
"Add Credit Card"
Enter your actual card information.
This step is VERY important. Below where you're supposed to enter your name, there's a pencil icon; that's where you need to enter the details of a real address in Japan. You can use the address I've used, or you can search for a random address on Google.
Go to "save".
(You’ll likely receive a 200-yen charge on your bank account to verify that the account is real).
6- Turn off your VPN.
7- Close the Play Store and log back in.
8- Search for “Twisted Wonderland” or "ツイステッドワンダーランド in your Play Store, and the game should appear.
8-Launch the game.
9-Go ahead and purchase a package.
Don't forget to open the game while you have your new Japanese Play Store account open.
If you get a message saying you can't make a purchase because the card isn't available in your country, open the Play Store and make sure your Japanese account is logged in. This happened to me: when I opened the game, at first I couldn’t make any purchases because my Play Store had switched to my personal account, so I had to go there and switch it to my new Japanese Gmail account. I went back into the game and had no trouble making a purchase.
If you did everything correctly, when you go to Play Store -> Settings -> General -> Account & device preferences, “Japan” should appear under “Country” (it took a couple of hours for this to show up for me).
You can also check:
Play Store -> Payments & subscriptions -> Payment methods -> More payment settings (a page will open in your browser; remember to switch to your JP Gmail account profile) -> Settings
There you should see: Country (Japan) and the address we entered earlier when adding the card. If it doesn’t appear, re-enter the SAME address we used.
I hope this helped! In my case, everything worked out fine—I even tried it with other games and was able to add my card without any problems~!
Ego, may I request Skully and Swing swap clothes? This is for research purposes (and because I just wanna see it. I don’t care if swing ends up looking like Betelgeuse, I just wanna see.)
I definitely wasn't already obsessing over this thought, nope
(and we couldn't forget the most important one of all)
