Carter was on coffee mug number two as he sat on the back perch with Lev on the main counter, splayed out napping. He’s hoped that despite the blown up bridge he wouldn’t lose too many sales. “Welcome to Radiance!” He said when the bell above the door rang.

That wasn’t true she loved work but she hated when there was nothing to do. She’d had a day of three calls and two of them just needed stupid proof instructions on how to turn a computer off and on. Jo nearly jumped from her chair when the end of the day hit and she ran out of the doors at top speed “Bloody Brilliant!” She said just as someone walked into the Tech office’s front door, probably to ask for help. Cameron stood in his usual vantage point over looking the city. Careful eyes watched the busy life continue. He wondered what life was like to be a regular person but never once desired it. Cameron loved his life, he had the strength of a god, the ability to fly and he was married to a women who could male Venus herself jealous. He pulled out cigarette, knowing every well he shouldn’t be. After all he had been countless ads discouraging kids from smoking. He light the end and took a deep inhale. He was glad he was high enough no one could see him. He puffed out a large and glanced back when he noticed movement. “Yes?” He asked.

a terrible Open Starter!

“Surely it’s been long enough now that people aren’t still surprised that I’m here? Every single day I get at least three people either questioning my every move or just don’t believe it’s me. How hard is it to believe people change?”

Sierra stumbled out of the wreckage of the bridge, having gone to town on it with a couple of the other Villains. Afterall, she still had orders to follow when they were given. The horned blonde fell onto the sidewalk, ash falling off her as her demon form melted away, steam almost hissing off her- yet her eyes remained a blazing orange. It was clear that she was weakened, simply from how she was barely able to hold herself up and the sweat that was running down her face. She gave a cringe as something in her chest twisted unpleasantly. “If you want to live. I’d stay back…” she still spat when someone got close, her pupils disappearing and her eyes now a molten white colour as her anger began to rise. “I can still fight”

Renee groaned when she fell out of the car door, even if in reality she had been shoved by the person she’d hitched a lift from “Yeah, thanks” the hero stated as she lay back on the sidewalk, patting herself for a lighter to give some attention to the bent cigarette that hung out of her mouth. It had been weeks since Renee had been back in New York, the cyborg had physically disconnected her tracking chip from the Livingston Labs tracking systems and had damn well yeeted herself to Mexico. The weeks that had passed were a tequila infused blur for the woman, full of cage fights and bad tacos. The hero scooted herself up into a sitting position noting that her left arm was hanging off and sparking, only then grinning when someone stood over her. “Come on, admit that you missed me. Just a little bit?”

“I thought a more visual message would get things moving” Allendra said simply as she walked through the flames that were left over from the destroyed bridge. Her fingers curled as she walked, blue flames teasing around the finger tips “Though I wasn’t the one who set the actual fire sadly. That would have definitely been more fun to do” she then stared at the other in front of her “What? You wanna go?”

Adria looked off in the distance towards the now smoking remains of what has been the bridge. She had run up to this rooftop when she heard the explosion and felt the fear overwhelming everyone nearby. She took a puff of her cigarette and let the smoke drift off over the railing. Her mind open and wandering the plans of thought it so frequently bathed in, “I can hear you, ya know.” She said without turning to the person behind her.
