Okay so I have this theory headcanon(?) about the time looping in this game (thought of this before the release of the last ep but thought it might have clues and just finished it😭)

Anyways it's about Elias's or Taiga's stigma, I don't know which one seemed to suit it more (I think it's Elias-) but the idea of this stigma stayed on my mind, what if this ghoul can control time? (yk like Barbatos in obey me!)

So when you start the game you choose a character and they fall to the fire or smth right? And there's the MC's dream when Luca died and the ending of the first season when Kaito dies and the school is set on fire, and then there's this season, which seems very detached from the first one (not much but the vibe is different)

All of them are obviously separate timelines, what if each time some major disaster happens that ghoul makes another timeline or rewinds it? But maybe it can only be to a specific period of time? Cause the MC gets back to the same point, the beginning, but  I think it isn't shown in the second season cuz it's gonna be a pain for the devs and us to see it again

But this is how I think the timeline goes, at first it's the prologue, when MC witnesses the selected ghoul falling

Then there's this timeline where Luca dies, I don't remember where it was but I'm sure there was someone who posted about MC's flashback of Kaito when they were on the ship where he was wearing a hat even though in the story he wasn't, I think it's the same timeline as the one Luca dies in, considering MC have that stored in her recent memories but she thinks it's just dreams, it might have been the most recent timeline, the one right before the main story begins

Then there's the main story (season 1 & 2), I don't remember small details but there are three things that stuck in my head, first and most obvious is (Waves of Love) or as it's now (Deadly in Love), they HEAVILY implied that it was a new thing to MC and that it's DW's first time collaborating(?) with them, and how KD said that it would've been good if they were funded by one of the participants, but it was impossible (the only thing missing there is Jin's name -_-)

The second thing was Elias's introduction, he introduced himself twice to MC, first time when MC and Elias caught Haru in the locker, and the next one where MC saw Elias and Mio (mostly Mio) making the stage for the Samhain events (ofc Elias didn't introduce himself Haru and Mio did first like okay we get it you're mysterious but damn dude it's just a name °^°) and both times the purple bar with their names (idk what it's called) Elias's name was Janitor until introduced

And last is the ending of season 1, I thought that is was the same as the prologue, but at the end MC is called by Elias and he tells her that he'll tell her something and we don't see what happens afterwards, in this ending she didn't see any of the ghouls aside from Luca and Kaito, which makes them two different endings

The prologue happened then another timeline began, Lucan died (and MC's dreams & flashbacks) then another timeline, season 1 finishes and another timeline begins which is season 2

I think mostly it's Elias cuz I've seen this post where someone says that Taiga's stigma might be seeing the future and that causes him to forget about a lot of things, yk like how when Haru uses his stigma smth wrong happens to his bones and he breaks them (I'm really bad at explaining lolll), anyways, Elias is the last thing MC saw before time changed, and he keeps on saying how weak he is (we all know you aren't Elias you're WAY too suspicious ¬_¬) and that his stigma is nothing to care about, basically it makes more sense to be him

This theory has nothing to do with the spy cuz I don't think Elias is, he's too sus to be the spy tbh😭, and when Taiga told MC not to keep on trusting that person she had little to no interactions with Elias at all, so him being the spy isn't smth I agree with, he's smth bigger he's gonna get everyone killed (I love him so much😭😭💖) 

But maybe either Taiga or Elias want to fix things for MC smh for some reason or they're doning what leads to the academy going down but want a certain outcome

If it was Taiga I think Romeo would've known about it and used it for their own good, but I don't think Dionysia would care about smth like that(?), and there's definitely a reason why the Dionysia ghouls where all locked up except for Elias, maybe DW needed to keep an extra close eye on him

Not a part of the theory but I reealy feel bad for AP in (Deadly in Love) cuz what do you mean our mission with the Dio ghouls was the reason she's traumatised😭😭😭
