Hence why witches know nothing about it.” Maybe he was messing with her… Maybe not. But he surely was sounding serious and believable.

“Oh, poor thing… Boredom is the worst curse cast upon mortals…” He said a bit dramatically. “Aw, come on! How come you don’t want to tell your parents that you accidentally summoned a demon and bound him to you because you messed up some ingredients to a simple potion?” He teased slightly. “Well… Let’s say I’m your new charge… Yadda, yadda, I’ve got great potential, yadda, yadda, you gotta keep me out of trouble. That good enough for your folks?”

“Yeah well use it.”she said ignoring his stupid smirk. “Well, cats outta the bag now dummy.”she rolled her eyes not seeming to care whether he was screwing around or not. Ashyr knew that this was trouble. A whole lot of trouble and not cute, oops I accidentally summoned up some fairies trouble. She was going to be skewered if she didn’t fix this.

“Cute. Real cute.”she said as he made fun of her. “Innocent would be the best word, I’m not a witchlighter, thank god. Last thing I wanna do is have to orb all over the planet for the greater good. I’m good with what I have.” Ash pushed him towards the stairs. “Come on lets go somewhere I don’t have to explain what is going on. I’m horrible at keeping secrets.”she admitted, it was an annoying genetic trait.

Despite not having the most active powers, Charlie was someone that demons knew better than to underestimate. As long as he had them in his shield, they wouldn’t have much where to go and thanks to his deadliest ability psychic reflection, he could easily handle himself on his own it just took some planning. “I know better than to make deals with demons. I know what kind of hearts you have, or rather that you lack one.” He was half seer demon so he knew the pull of evil all to well of which he fought every day.

With a wave of his hand he surrounded Ashyr in one of his forcefields and walked a bit closer now that he felt safe. She could find a way out if she had means of teleportation but he could just manifest another shield - possibly on his entire building if he focused enough. “I’m not looking for allys or friends from your kind. So why don’t you just tell me what you really want. No games.”

Ashyr laughed excitedly at the sight of his force field, it meant he was scared of her. It was wise to be scared, many underestimated her skill and ruthlessness. And some of them had died, ones who had lived learned from their mistakes. Ash looked around, knowing she could escape if she wanted, but choosing not to at the moment. “You’re cute. Maybe if you’d look harder, you could see my heart.”she said slowly.

“I’m half-witch. It makes me more dangerous because unlike those idiots you are comparing me to, I can feel. Which isn’t all that fun, it usually gets in the way.”she paused letting it sink in. “And as far as my kind, there is no one like me. I am one of a kind.” She let her eyes turn black before flames started to rise and flicker, “I wasn’t asking for a friend. I need that beautiful power of yours to tell me my future.”

He walked over to her and raised his hands over her injury. While the golden light appeared and his healing worked, he nodded. “Thank you. I’m back to normal. As normal as I can be in this family You okay?”

“Normal is a stretch.”she laughed, inspecting her hand.“Now about that pizza.” she wiggled a brow. Ashyr was not about to let that deal slip away. As much as she wanted to get up on her feet, she knew she was going to need at least another minute sitting up before putting her feet beneath her.

Charlie couldn’t pinpoint the exact year or time but he was sure he’d seen this day flash before his eyes, especially the future Queen tracking him down. He always knew evil would be at his footsteps, his foreseeing powers were quite strong and his most skilled ability yet he knew he had enough power to at least protect himself to get away - but unfortunately that wouldn’t last long. Even if he’d vanquish the evil, there would always be more waiting for him. That’s what anyone that was good or neutral had to deal with especially when they were a force of power.

He felt the presence of another in his studio and made his way toward the switch to turn on the overhead light, illuminating the room. Charlie glared at Ashyr. “You’re not welcome here. Most people use doors you know.”

Ashyr was humming softly to herself, if he was as good as she had heard, keeping her presence hidden was useless. Tracking him down had been a task, but amusing all the same. She looked up at the light as it flickered on. “I’m not most people.”she said. “And for the record, most people welcome me everywhere I go.”she twisted a dark strand of hair around her index finger.

“Besides, don’t you wanna make a deal with me? I just need a little bit of your time.”she asked. This was going to go down one of two ways, either he’d become an ally or an enemy. She had enough enemies, she’d like an ally even if it was an unwilling one.

“Are you okay?” Chris asked from where he stood before checking if her potion succeeded. Yep, he was not ghostly anymore, that was something, and Chris let out a relieved sigh. “Needd me to heal you?”

"Just the hand please.”she said holding out her hand, still laying on the floor. “I’m used to whiplash at this point.” Ashyr breathed deeply staring across the room at her cousin. “All de-ghostified?”she asked, her vision was a little woozy.

“You serious?” He asked and took a step back, waving his hand to use his aerokinesis for making the smoke disappear. He liked to see what was happening around him. “Be careful.”

“Fortune favors the bold. Not the careful.”she reminded Chris, even if the careful lived longer. She took a breath and tossed it at his feet, the blast knocked the wind out of her and she flew into the wall. “Remind me not to do that again.”she gasped for air on the floor.

“I don’t care about tingling when it works.” Still he eyed whatever she mixed there with a slight wary expression on his face. “Will it explode?” Chris inquired before the smoke filled the room and he coughed.

“No.”she peaked over the edge of the table, she coughed a bit. She waved her hand, attempting to disperse the cloud. “Maybe a little.”she said and filled the potion into a vial. “So stand next to the couch so if you get blown back you won’t go through the window.”

“I’ll buy you whatever you want, as long as you help me.” Chris agreed. “But please, hurry, if Mum sees me like this she will freak out. Or Wy.”

“That is exactly what I wanted to hear.”she said. “Now be prepared for some odd tingling sensations.” She added a half stem of cypress before slicing open her left hand. It seemed a little rash, but it might work? The cauldron started to boil over and Ashyr ducked below the table as it poofed. Cold smoke filling the room.

“Yeah, funny. I would rather have to use doors instead of walking through walls and be invisible!” Chris told her with a sigh. “I thought I used the right ingredients.”

“Comfrey is pretty commonly used in banishments, which is why you are all ghosty.”she explained. “I can probably fix it. But you have to buy pizza, with breadsticks.” Bargaining was fun, especially with banishment on the line.

“Well you used the wrong ingredient here. The invisibility potion called for... comfrey root?”she scratched something that was stuck to the page after examining the cauldron. “Nope, it says coriander root. On the upside you can phase through walls once it spreads?”
