I’ve recently become obsessed with the Apothecary Diaries (I literally redownloaded tumblr just to look at the community). My brain has come up with a shitpost fanfic idea and I need to know if anyone in the world is interested in this other than me - it will be called “The Dispensary Diaries”. Modern AU in Denver where Maomao works at Luomen’s dispensary - a small franchise of Lakan’s cannabis empire. Jinshi is a trustfund kid/international student fucking around in the US on an extended gap year or doing his masters or something, and he’s somehow goaded into going to the dispo. He’s never ever smoked before, but as soon as he meets maomao, he has to pretend he’s a huge stoner with a crazy tolerance to impress her. Many shenanigans ensue. I’m going to write this if only for myself… but is this too niche lmao?
