Custom 1 of 1, handmade in California. Josh, my friend for nearly 20 years, is a Navy veteran who spent time on submarines traveling the world. Now that he is no longer active, he rarely has an opportunity to proudly display his Navy pride.

As a special project, we took one of his old uniforms and turned it into a custom pair of shoes. His uniform patches were carefully removed by hand and reattached to his shoes, including details like his pen pocket which we stitched into the inside of one shoe as a place to stash some emergency money.

We are so proud of this wonderful pair of shoes that has been created as a result, and now Josh will be able to slip on his Navy pride whenever the mood strikes.

Our classic shoe, now in suede. The decision to go into leather was a big one for us. Up until now we have only done textile uppers. Storm System Cashmere, chambray, men's suiting fabrics; we leaned towards heritage cloth and technical fabrics because no one is making shoes from them. Recently we came across a beautiful quality toast colored suede. We happened to have a white and brown braided leather lace that complimented it perfectly, so we thought we would give it a shot. The result was hard to deny. A hand-crafted suede shoe, within which we worked painstakingly to include a toe box and heel support that is unlike traditional moccasin construction. A toe shape inspired by a men's dress slipper, lace that extends around the back of the shoe like a boat shoe but without any bulky hardware, and moc soles that are stitched on to insure longevity.
