Sabrina was at a party earlier, thinking it would be nice to have a night off and enjoy herself. She had fun, drinking and chatting with different people. She got hungry and ate a brownie, forgetting that it could be laced with weed. She realized it when she had finished two. She was high for sure. Brina left the party and started walking home but ended up laying on the ground in the middle of the park. She closed her eyes for a moment before hearing a voice, causing them to open again. “Am I dead?” she asked.

Ben enjoyed walking at night when the town was even more quiet than usual and he could watch the stars. He smoked a little before leaving the house adn then slowly trailed along the street until he came across someone on the ground. “Are you okay?” He asked. “You’re not dead.”

Margo nodded and passed the joint back to Ben. “That was awesome, thank you,” She said.

“You are welcome.” He moved back against the edge. “I had to work today too and people were fucking assholes. You’d think it’d be a bunch of just chill ass people buying weed, but no.”

Margo smiled and turned around so her back was to Ben. “Massage away,” She said.

He moved closer to her and began to massage her shoulders for her. After a few minutes, he pulled away. “Better?”

Margo took her joint back and took a drag. “You’re gonna give me a massage?”

“Sure, why not?”

“Yeah,” Margo nodded. “Work has been a bitch. My back is killing me and I need several massages.”

“Bummer. I guess since you shared your weed, I could help out a little.”

Margo smiled when she saw Ben. “Hey, want a drag?” She asked, holding up the joint.

“Absolutely.” He said with a nod and grabbed the joint to take a hit. “Did you work today?”

Margo had a sore back. Lots of stock was coming in at work so she was lifting boxes lately, and she had gotten into the habit of carrying too many things in her purse so her shoulder was killing. She decided she needed to relax, so she rolled a joint and drove to Strawberry Hot Springs. She got into her bathing suit and got into the water, leaning against one of the walls. She lit her joint and started to smoke, hoping she was far enough from everybody.

Ben loved nothing more than smoking and hanging out at the hot springs, which was thankfully something he could do year round. After work, he ate some dinner and then went to the springs to enjoy the sunset. When he spotted Margo, he joined her. “Hey you.”

“I’ll think about it.” He gave her a playful smirk.

“That’s rude as hell. But I do wish I could work where you work.”

“Apply! They are always looking for new people.”

“It’s nice to meet you.” She smirked. “I do, lived her my whole life. What about you?”

“Yeah, I’ve been here for ten years or so. Now that I think about it, I’ve seen you around. Is your hair different or something?”

“Isn’t one of them a book?” She asked, raising her brow. Elle was smart, but English had never been her favorite subject. “Hmmm, but for you I’ll take a listen.”

“Yeah, they named their band after the book.. I’m not really sure why.”

“Alright? Alright? That song is a classic, and I can’t believe you said alright!” Elle laughed, taking another sip of her drink. “Ok ok, so tell me more about the heavy metal genre. I’m not familiar.”

“Well, what do you want to know? I like bands like Of Mice & Men and Halestorm. You should listen to them sometime.”

“I wish I could leave work and go for a walk. I took an edible before my shift.”

“Yeah, I don’t blame you. Your job fucking sucks.”

“Rock, ok–Like what kind of rock? Heavy metal? Light rock? Punk rock? You gotta give me more, Ben.” She grinned, nodding. “Oh but some of these songs aren’t awful, right? Sweet Child O’ Mine?”

“I like it all! Mostly heavy metal.” He nodded with a smile. “Sweet Child O’ Mine is alright.”

“I don’t know. I got really high and decided I needed to walk. Now I’m here. Luck you.”

“Oh–do I need to worry about something worse?” She rose her brow, letting a small chuckle pass through her lips. “I know, but it has character. It’s aged well–don’t you think?” Elle crossed her arms, leaning against the machine. “Ok, so what do you want to listen to?”

“I mean, it looks cool and all but it could use some new music.” He said with a shrug of his shoulders. “I don’t know, I like rock and rap.”
