MOVIE IDEA

A superhero movie with the one wish willow, where the main character wants to do good for others and so they wish to be Superman using the one wish willow, except the willow literally gives them the story of Superman and now they're the last human on an alien planet and Earth s destroyed in a catastrophe, and they can't even end their life to undo the wish because they're an indestructible godlike being now, so to atone for their mistake, they do good throughout the universe, eternally guilt ridden but they still push forward to do good and find happiness

Some gamers have been conditioned to become the type of consumers the big companies want them to be, with GTA6 for example, Rockstar has shown off zero gameplay and only a few cinematics and the pricing where they jingle a version of the game for a 100 dollars in front of them, telling them to buy it and they'll be like "Yes sir, Mr. Big Company who only cares about my money."

Pre-ordering a game with 0 gameplay is genuinely insane and it's exactly what they want

Tbh I haven't bought a physical game in years, mainly because I thought it was convenient just to have them all downloaded onto my console but if they really are doing this whole "You will own nothing." thing, FUCK THEM, I bought those games with money I worked hard for and saved up, they can't just take away what's rightfully mine, this is anti consumer, THIS IS FUCKED

We're moving further into a dystopia

I've seen people talking about the DCU and with the "failure" of Supergirl, are begging for more big name characters like Batman and Wonder Woman and for James Gunn to build his extended universe, and while I would love that.

I think James Gunn is more interested in telling good stories rather than building an extended universe where everything is connected, because as you see with the MCU, they built up to a big event, the big event happened and it kinda went down from there, I think the DCU might do what the DCAU does, every hero will be doing their own thing and occasionally team up, which I think is better imo, not everything needs to build up to something.

All you need sometimes is a good story with these characters, like comics, not everything would lead up to a big event, most comic books didn't start out with the big guns, it was just heroes doing their thing and going on their own adventures

I don't think the DCU is in danger, the DCEU went on for years, the MCU had some iffy movies, it's not even 2 years old, I think we'll be fine

This probably sums up my thoughts the best, Supergirl is a superhero movie with a woman main character in a post superhero fatigue cinematic world, people are judging it too hard, could it have been better? Yes but it's not like it's a horrible movie

I don't think a lot of people understand, no matter how Bear worded the wish, it would turn out bad, wishing for someone to love you, even if you say, don't take away their free will, etc. You're still taking away someone's autonomy by making them love you, Curry Barker said himself, the One Wish Willow isn't some evil cursed object, it's that the wish Bear made, no matter how he worded it, was fucked up, you can't force someone to love you, he should've been strong, confessed and if she didn't feel the same way, remain friends and move on because even after he had Nikki all to himself, he still saw interest in other women, he was a bad person all the way up to his end, I also love how he gets second thoughts when taking the pills and tries to throw them up, so it wouldn't be framed as some heroic sacrifice, he was scum, till the end
