LATIN JAZZ AT THE BEN A big shout out and thank you to the #SacState Latin Jazz Ensemble for joining the #PFAA Music Department at last weeks show: Latin Jazz at the Ben. It was a great turn out.

TINKER (December 4 - 6)  Join PFAA's Visual Arts Department as they present "TINKER", an interactive art experience in the Benvenuti gallery and theater. We have joined the maker movement! Tinkering is the art of making through play and experimentation with materials. Come play with digital puppets, tinker in our labs with conductive ink drawings, light, sound, mixed media and tiny engines. Be part of our idea machine! Interactive art is about engagement between maker and audience. We invite you to become the maker through your tinkering! Come and play with us.

Latin Jazz at the Ben

Quickly becoming a high point to the Natomas area's concert series, Jazz at "the Ben" will feature The Latin Jazz Ensemble from CSU Sacramento. This exciting eleven-piece ensemble plays a wide range of Latin musical styles, including merengue, samba, cha-cha-cha, mambo, Afro-Cuban, and rumba. In addition to Latin-Jazz standards by Tito Puente, Ray Barretto, Eddie Palmieri, Mario Bauza, Mongo Santamaria, Mark Levine, Poncho Sanchez, and others, the band plays original compositions as well.
