Over at Brokelyn, I covered (and illustrated) some of the roommate species you’ll encounter out in the wilds of your own apartment. If you don’t live with one of them..
Poster I made for this month's installment of Running Late with Scott Rogowski. Check out tonight's free show at Littlefield!
I did the illustrations for Dan Cerutti's list of cleverly subversive, last-minute Halloween costume ideas over at Brokelyn. There are even pick-up lines to accompany each one!
Yet another reason to not dress up as a sexy ebola nurse.
Some of my handiwork in progress for Brokelyn's homecoming-themed 5th anniversary party. Be there at the Bell House in Gowanus this Thursday!
Wouldn’t it be cool if you could go out to dinner and be certain that your favorite alcoholic beverages were available, for around $3 per drink? Have we got news for you: Brooklyn has some awesome BYOB restaurants, so going out to eat and drinking cheap doesn’t have to exist only in your dreams.
My latest Brokelyn contribution gives a rundown of some of the best BYOB spots in the borough. Check it out!
I got to hand-letter favor bottles of Sorachi Ace at Brooklyn Brewery and Timberland's event, Looks & Lagers! A fun night doing what I love, with some great people involved in two other pursuits dear to my heart-- style and beer. Photo credit to Scott Gries.
My hand-lettering for Dossier Outpost and the East River Ferry is up at South St. Seaport! Read the case study at McMillian + Furlow.
Relentlessly craving.
9 great novels set in Brooklyn, and where to read them From Norman Mailer to Edgwidge Danticat to that guy from that OkCupid date who writes think pieces on Encino Man, Brooklyn has a long history of producing, housing and inspiring great authors and literary works. So naturally, there’s plenty of great literature that takes place around these parts. Here’s an introductory list of Brooklyn-based books, and where in the borough you should enjoy them for an optimum reader experience. But you don’t have to take my word for it… I wrote this feature for Brokelyn, check it out!
Further progress!
Latest hand-lettering project in progress.
Philadelphia followers: Check out my friends, Jaime Brango, and these other cool bands at the Grape Room in Manayunk on Wednesday!
I recently had the joy of being a bridesmaid in the wedding of one of my life-long best friends. (Seriously-- our crew has been together since '94.) I was totally psyched to hand-letter and design her wedding invitations and RSVP cards in the regal purple-and-gold color palette she chose.
Gig poster completed! Philadelphia friends, check out this show at the Grape Room on May 21st.
Work in progress!
Behind the scenes at the latest M+F photoshoot! Stay tuned for plenty of new work on the site.
That's me!
