guess whos back!!
When Will reads the news and learns a church ceiling collapsed, he gets very excited about being the one to tell Hannibal about it before Hannibal could read about it himself
You know how you send a meme to your friend and they've already seen it? The pure betrayal on Will's face if Hannibal dares to say "I have read about it, thank you, Will"
Regarding your last post about Hannibal being queerbaiting (sorry if I post anonymously, but I've experienced shit storms in the past and I'm too tired for this). Anyway, I don't think the show is queerbaiting, because it's not. Still, my problem with the lack of physical expression of affection between Hannibal and Will is that it allows deniability (I wish a kiss were there, so I wouldn't constantly have to explain to people how and why hannigram is canon). I mean, I have the feeling that a lot of homophobes that I know (ugh) who watched the show wouldn't have if the main characters had sex. I'm sorry, but it's true. It sadly took a lot of courage at the time to show M/M sex on screen, and I think they didn't do it also so as not to lose part of the audience. I may be wrong, of course, but it was surely easier to show the Alana/Margot scene or Hannibal and Bedelia/Alana's intimacy. If they didn't want to show us Hannigram having sex because the act wasn't important per se (I agree), they could at least show Hannibal and Antohy. Again, I don't blame Bryan, but I still think he held back a little bit in S3.
I totally understand the reason behind being anon.(。・ω・。)ノ♡
Also I agree with you a lot, I would like them to kiss, too, both because I would love to have a scene like that and because of the exact same reason that it would shoo some idiots away. :D
I didn't mean that post as in "they don't need sex" or "I don't want to see them kiss" because I do believe we can use more queer sex/intimacy scenes where the characters aren't the typical types that homophobes would claim as "lustful youngsters" or whatever similar bullshit they say.
I also think they had some struggles showing some stuff on screen back then? Not sure about this, though. T-T he did hold back a little, I agree and you're right I guess, things were very different methinks back when hannibal was airing.
My biggest problem is with those who say they would be canon IF they had kissed and still they don't understand this is rooted in homophobia, insisting they just don't get it because the same people would complain if they DID kiss. "Why do you have to show your sex on screen we don't need to see two men kiss to believe they are in love ugh keep your bed activities in your bedroom!"
Am I making sense T-T
People who needs explaining why it is canon in the first place would still be like "ah, so they made it queer to bend to crazed fans who cannot accept the idea of two men simply being friends." It is already a thing some say even without explicit sex or kissing scenes. Or if you tell them about Bryan Fuller being a queer man it's "no wonder then, he's pushing an agenda, every other screenwriter was probably against it!" If you tell them about Hugh and Mads talking in panels and interviews it's "fanservice" or "they're just actors, their opinion doesn't matter" (nevermind they wrote or pitched a lot of scenes ideas)
Only a tiny percentage of people actually change their minds after you present a convincing argument and thank you for it. The solution is.. to ignore what they think and try not to waste time (and your nerves) on it. If it's your friends, I'm sorry😭
i’m still not over that hat
Dale Cooper, Twin Peaks // Will Graham, Hannibal
bonus:
Do we talk about teacups and time and the rules of disorder?
I might be mistaken but I don't think saying "Will loves and hates Hannibal" is...accurate? Am I making sense? I mean I think he probably hated what Hannibal reflected back at him way more than he could ever hate Hannibal as a person, despite knowing what and who he is. And he probably hated that he couldn't hate Hannibal properly?
I understand the appeal of the characters who have love and hate entwined for the other, but being willing to lay beside someone for eternity or the conscious choice of living with them forever requires unconditional love and understanding, I don't think any form of hate could have a place in it.
"I envy you your hate."

Original photomanipulation. While sleep comes to Will easily, his dreams in the hotel room in S3Ep10 (And the Woman Clothed With the Sun) aren’t entirely restful………..

Happy birthday to the incredibly talented Hugh Dancy!

“If I saw you every day, forever, Will, I would remember this time.”
Let's forget for a moment that the theme doesn't match with the exact moments of the seasons.,,, I just thought that the idea and the composition worked, so to hell with it.
This idea came out of a picture I saw that had a really cool composition, and I REALLY wanted to make something a bit more surrealistic. The reference itself had a painting behind it, and I didn't think about putting the Primavera at first, but then I backtracked. After a few adjustments I managed to make it work with the drawing, so ta-da!!!
Also, happy summer!!! I'll definitely be using all my free time to draw more of the murder husbands...
