9 reasons why this movie should never be remade.
Elizabeth Taylor c. 1954.
blood type: gold
At the Royal Ball
"Who IS that person?"
"Care to dance?"
"Have you seen the prince? He's so handsome."
"You should introduce yourself."
"I want nothing to do with them!"
"I'm sorry... Do I know you?"
"I have met so many people today. I'm afraid I forgot your name..."
"Would you like a drink? The champagne is amazing."
"I shouldn't be here. I'm not one of these blue bloods."
"I feel so out of place here. Can we go home?"
"Have you seen the princess? She's so beautiful!"
"I feel as though I have been waiting for this moment all my life."
"Stop trying to set me up with people!"
"These shoes are killing me."
"Do you think they noticed me?"
"This crown is soooo heavy..."
"During the next dance I'm just going to slip out. No one will notice."
"All this pomp and circumstance... How I loathe it."
"If they come at me one more time they will find out just how heavy this scepter is."
"All I want is a cup of tea."
"Is there any real food here? Tiny bits of things on platters just isn't cutting it."
"Isn't this night magical?"
Elizabeth Taylor, 1957

“A-are you absolutely certain? If it’s really so serious, don’t you think I ought to call Doctor Bonnachoven for a private examination? I’d hate to take any chances. Perhaps he ought to look at you, just to be cer- -tain it hasn’t spread.”
“Oh, don’t worry about me, honey.” She could barely keep the mischievous grin off her face - it was a cruel joke to play but irresistible too. “I’ve naturally grown immune to cooties after being surrounded by guys. It’s, well, going to be a bit harder for you to recover I think. A doctor would definitely be necessary.”
Vivien Leigh in Storm in a Teacup (1937)
Direction: Ian Dalrymple and Victor Saville
Costumes: Not credited
career goals: femme fatale

"You think so? I’m not selfish, then?" She breathed a quick sigh of relief at that, although it was hardly a response she was not used to. The same question had been posed to a great deal of friends, mostly female, and the answers had been very similar to the one she had just received. Yet it was all somehow not enough - Elizabeth still felt a sense of guilt to require much more than just roses or chocolates from the man she loved, as if she was some sort of spoiled, shallow Hollywood brat. “It’s not .... bad if I hint to a guy to buy me some jewellery from time to time, right?”

“There must be about a thousand cameras out there tonight.”
Ann peered out through the doors of the theatre toward the lines of waiting paparazzi, the lights of their flashbulbs twinkling like stars. They were blinding, even to someone who was accust- -omed to them. The press was out in full force tonight.
“It seems like such a precious opportunity, don’t you think? An event like this is just begging for some kind of scandal.”
She could already picture the disapproving look on the face of the Countess Vereberg. Ann didn’t mind. For all her innocence, trouble was something she’d gotten very good at.
“Come here, I’ve got an idea.” Seizing Elizabeth by the hand, she guided her out onto the red carpet. It was public knowledge that they were friends, of course– but when she leaned in and gave her friend a neat little peck on the lips, the cameras must have lit up half the city.
There was barely any time for Elizabeth to recover from the surprise - a big whoop had risen from the crowd of paparazzi, soon followed by bulbs flashing from all sides. "You've given them a hell of a story, all right!” was her brief reply, for there wasn't much time before more paparazzi would arrive. She was faintly aggravated, not by what Ann had done, but by the crudeness of the press, jostling and shoving each other to capture a precious shot of the two friends. "If you don't hurry up, you’ll be late for lunch and you can’t blame me!” Cheeky smile now disappearing, she quickly strode into the crowd - pushing and even shoving her way towards the waiting limousine. Bland smile facing the cameras, Elizabeth sighed as she sat herself down in the car, leaving the door open for her friend. Much as she appreciated the attention, there was nothing more relaxing than privacy - and a slice of pizza.

❝Alaska’s one of the FEW states I ain’t robbed in.❞
“I don’t suppose there’s much there to rob, so what’s the point of going to Alaska? Unless you wanted snow, of course.”

“I’m afraid I’m not quite in the mood for that sort of talk right now, Mary.”

The Walking Dead (Sentence Starters)
"Kill them all!"
"They are not like us."
"I'm not sorry for what I said last night, I'm sorry for not saying it sooner."
"Don't let the world spoil you."
"You can't stay in one place anymore, not for too long."
"Don't forget what I said."
"This isn't over, this is it."
"It's not on you."
"Don't you tell me about getting my hands dirty!"
"This new world is ugly, it's harsh, it's survival of the fittest!"
"I'm a damn mystery to me."
"We can find a way."
"All life is precious."
"It's in our blood, we're all carriers."
"The pain doesn't go away, you just make room for it."
"I could kill you right now. I could. I will."
"Hey, don't think I won't knock you on your ass, all right?"
"No, I mean, what are we doin'?"
"Those two might have even less blood on their hands than we do."
"I care more about her than I do about me!"
"He gave us a chance."
"You're not one of us!"
"If you don't fight, you die."
"I want you to help us survive."
