RWBY 30 Day Challenge - Day 20

One Underrated Character

I would actually say Penny, but since the release of the recent episode…

Qrow Branwen.

I’m probably gonna piss off a looooooooooot of people in saying this but…a fair amount of people in the RWBY fandom were originally hyped for Qrow before the Vol 3 announcement, and when it happened, there was a ton of love for Winter. And as soon as Vic Mignogna was announced as VA, nearly all support absolutely died over all his controversy. Then, when the episodes poured out, a lot of people again became ticked off by his character and actions.

To those who’ve been around since the beginning, remember how ticked people got during the Black Trailer, or when Ruby talked in the Yellow Trailer, or even when Weiss first met Ruby? Qrow is a drunk, egotistical, hard character with a high running libido and that instantly made him a target. It’s hard to see underneath all that how much he cares for his nieces, how selfless he can be when it comes to the greater good.

I guess my point is, characters are meant to have flaws, to not be perfect, and the flaws Qrow has has definitely left him underrated.
