FERNANDA TORRES wins Best Actress/Drama at the 2025 Golden Globes
WAGNER MOURA wins Best Actor/Drama at the 2026 Golden Globes
I cried so hard when Everlark was mentioned in the SOTR epilogue, it’s nice to know after all these years Suzanne Collins thinks about them as much as I do.
Hey, everyone!
I know it's been a long time since I've posted anything in here. But I've just finished reading "Sunrise on the Reaping", and I'm so moved! 🥺 It's such an amazing book, and it has so many referrences/parallels to the trilogy. I'm not giving any spoilers in this post, but that epilogue... It's so touching! 😭
Tumblr app is a little messy after the last update (imo, at least), but I'll try to find some metas about the book, and share some thoughts of mine, too. Let's discuss it! 😊
I’M STILL HERE wins the Oscar for Best International Feature Film
This is the first Oscar win for Brazil! 🇧🇷
FERNANDA TORRES Winner of the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama award for "I'm Still Here" during the 82nd Annual Golden Globe Award (Jan 05, 2025)
“I’m Still Here” gets three Oscar nominations, including best picture
Fernanda Torres nominated for performance in Walter Salles’ film, which competes for Best International Film
The Brazilian film “I’m Still Here”, directed by Walter Salles, received an Oscar 2025 nomination on Thursday (23) in the categories of Best Picture, Best International Feature, and Best Actress for Fernanda Torres’ portrayal of lawyer Eunice Paiva.
Expected as a contender in the foreign-language film category, the film surprised by also making the list of nine productions competing for Best Picture of the year. It will face off against “Anora,” “The Brutalist,” “A Complete Stranger,” “Conclave,” “Dune: Part 2,” “Emilia Pérez,” “Nickel Boys,” “The Substance,” and “Wicked.”
Fernanda Torres will compete against actresses previously seen at other award events, such as the Golden Globes. Competing for Best Actress are Cynthia Erivo (“Wicked”), Karla Sofía Gascón (“Emilia Pérez”), Mikey Madison (“Anora”), and Demi Moore (“The Substance”, a Golden Globe winner for Best Actress in a Comedy).
In the Best International Feature category, Walter Salles’ film will again contend with “Emilia Pérez,” a nominee from France. Other contenders include the Danish film “The Girl with the Needle,” the German “The Seed of the Sacred Fig,” and the animated feature “Flow”, from Latvia.

Question to THG fans who read in a language other than English: at the end of MJ when Peeta asks Katniss if she loves him, what is the meaning/connotation for the word "love" translated into your language?
In the brazilian version of Mockingjay (the language is Brazilian Portuguese), Peeta asks: "Você me ama. Verdadeiro ou falso?", which literally means "You love me. True or false?" in English. And Katniss tells him "verdadeiro" (true). So it has the same meaning/connotation.
Just like in English, what shows which kind of love they're talking about is context. They were kissing (and probably having sex) in her bed, so it's obvious he was asking her if she loved him in a romantic way, and not in a platonic way. And she knew that. So when she confirmed she loved him, she meant she loved him in a romantic way.

these are all so bad but the cave scene was a CRIME I’m convinced 98% of the horrendous takes people have on Everlark are because they watched that cave scene … the cave sceneS in the book are by turns flirtatious, tender, raw, heartbreakingly childlike, and yet emotionally mature … they’re the scenes where Katniss and Peeta become knit together in an inseparable way for the rest of the series and beyond … and the movie butchered it … making Katniss cold and standoffish, Peeta simpering and creepy, throwing Gale into it for some reason??? and the whole thing catastrophically short and manufactured when the book devotes multiple meaningful chapters to it and actually develops the characters… the next few movies *tried* to scrap something back together to make their relationship work, but the damage was done for good IMO
@rosegardeninwinter Exactly!
rest in peace legend. thank you for giving us such an amazing performance as president snow. 🕊️
gale thinking he’s an option when in mockingjay katniss was like “well if i can’t have peeta i might as well die”
you know i always get a bit annoyed when everlark's love is described as a kind, patient, slow kind of love because sure! it is all of that but it's also VERY FUCKING HORNY AND PASSIONATE.

With over 1.1k votes on a tumblr poll, with 21.4% of the vote, the worst take on the Hunger Games is
Katniss isn't in love with Peeta, she just doesn't have anyone else post-war
Dandelion Grass Ring by @atelierlili
What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again. And only Peeta can give me that. So after, when he whispers, “You love me. Real or not real?” I tell him, “Real.”
Runner-Ups
14% voted for The Reaping for District 12 in the 74th Games was rigged for Katniss to go in
12.8% voted for If you like the Games or the romance in THG, you're the same as the Capitol

Suzanne Collins is releasing a new 'Hunger Games' novel, 'Sunrise on the Reaping,' next year | AP News
Inspired by an 18th century Scottish philosopher and the modern scourge of misinformation, Suzanne Collins is returning to the ravaged, post
Ladies and Gentlemen!!! May the odds be ever in our favor!
Triple reading comprehension problem.
-Trauma bonded is an abusive tactic, not a term for people who have helped each other through traumatic circumstances. Katniss and Peeta were never "trauma bonded" they were both thrown into trauma by their government.
-Failed to complete the instructed task of the poll.
-If Everlark is not in love, then no one's in love. Katniss confirms she's in love with Peeta, anything else is a personal AU preference and not canon.
Thanks for your vote supporting Everlark though!
