Hawks is the type to know when you've purposefully kissed his neck or cheek with lipstick on, but he pretends to not notice just so he can keep it on him all day. He wants the world to know that he got a lady and he loves her.
AN- Honestly I don't know how I feel about this, or how this turned out. But I can definitely say that I've thought about this is a lot. I felt like it was missing something but I'm too lazy to figure out what, and I hope you're able to tell what position they switch between in this bc I don't really know how to describe this stuff.

AN- Not proofread. I woke up this morning and had this idea. So it was written in less than a day.
You hummed along to the soft music that was playing in the background through your Bluetooth speaker. Your bare feet padded across the cold hardwood floor as you held a washing basket up on your hip. You entered your bedroom that your shared with Satoru and began to collect any and all pieces of clothing that were scattered around the room. Satoru had always had a habit of undressing on the spot and then jumping into the shower or bed without a care of where his clothes ended up.
As the basket grew heavy you placed it onto the bed and moved to your knees to retrieve a pair of socks that were hiding under the bed. When you pulled the socks away you almost didn’t notice the small brown box behind them. Curiosity got the better of you as your pulled the small box out from under the bed and onto your lap. The box was a dark brown and the lid was held on by a scrawny piece of twine. You didn’t recognize the box and almost placed it back where you found it out of respect for your boyfriends privacy assuming it was his, but something in you was telling you to open it, as if there was something in it you need to know.
You paused your music before you slowly and gently pulled at the thin piece of twine, ignoring the way it frayed under your touch, revealing its dated age. Just as slowly you lifted the fail boxes lid off and places it on the floor next to where you sat on your knees. Inside contained some small trinkets and photos you recognized, from your time spend at Jujitsu Tech. You carefully looked through them all, softly smiling at the bitter-sweet memories. You sometimes forget how much you miss your time at Jujitsu Tech. Back before everything got so complicated.
You spend a little longer looking at one photo in particular. It was a group photo of You, Shoko, Satoru and Suguru. Life was so much easier when that photo was taken, and you could easily tell that everyone’s smile wasn’t just for the camera, it was real.
You look at yourself in the photo, how happy and innocent you were, so unaware of what the following months would hold. If only you could warn your past self. However, a part of you is glad you can’t warn your past self, because you wouldn’t want to stain the smile you held. So instead your glad that you were happy while you could be.
After placing the last photo in the box aside, you noticed that sitting at the very bottom of the small box is a folded piece of paper. As you did with everything else the box contained, you picked up the piece of paper and slowly unfolded it, letting it reveal what seemed to be a letter. The letter didn’t seem to name the person it was addressed to at the beginning like most letters would, but instead held a date in place of what usually would of been a name.

The September a year after graduation.
Just reading the date almost brought tears to your eyes. This letter was from a tough time in your life. A time where you had moved out to Tokyo following your graduation, and a time where you had lost contact with many important people in your life. Including Satoru, whom was now your boyfriend.
You left the September after graduation because the weight of what Suguru had done, and what he was becoming had began to chip away at you. You felt like you couldn’t escape his actions, and his betrayal, and a part of you couldn’t help but feel guilty, always wondering if there was something you could have done differently to prevent such a tragedy.
You knew that when you had left it had hurt Satoru was well. You don’t like to think about it, but it probably felt like rubbing salt on an already very open wound.
Once you had returned and re-connected with Satoru, the conversations you two had about your time away was very limited, and often centered on your experience and perspective rather than his. As much as you wanted him to open up to you about his feelings on your absence, even if it was him telling you how much you hurt him, he never did; and you never wanted to push him to talk about something he so clearly didn’t want to. So, you always felt like you were missing a part of him, or a part of your relationship. Just something that he kept to himself.
Your eyes began to move past the date, as you slowly processed each word. Every second that you spent reading your eyes began to fill with hot, heavy tears. You finally let the tears spill with a sob when they began to blur your vision, preventing you from reading further. The letter filled in that missing piece of your relationship with Satoru. What he truly felt during your absence, and it was a love letter.

I don’t even know how or where to begin. If I’m being honest I don’t even really know why I’m writing this. It’s not like I’ll even send it to you, or that anyone other than me will ever see it. I guess this letter is more for myself, then anyone else.
The truth is everything is so different now, and that’s fine, I don’t care. Everything in my life could flip upside down and I wouldn’t give a single shit. Except for you. You’re the only thing that I miss. Out of everything that has happened these past years, you’re the only thing I regret not holding onto. If I could turn back time I would. Just so I could hold onto you a little tighter, or even just one last time.
I’m so fucking lost without you, and I hate myself for not realizing what you’ve meant to me these past years. You’ve helped me through so much whether you realized it or not. You were my reason for waking up. You made everything about my life better without even meaning too. When I had a stupid clan meeting or something, just knowing I would get to see you after made it all worth it; and now that you’re gone I just don’t know what to do anymore. You were the only thing holding me together all this time, and I should of told you, I realize that now. Maybe if I had you wouldn’t of left.
I know why you left, and I don’t blame you, honestly. And I know that it’s selfish of me, but I want you back. I need you here with me. When you left it felt like you took a piece of me with you. A piece I can’t get back without you.
I never said it to your face and maybe it was because I never realized it, or because I didn’t want to accept it, but now I know. I know more than ever, that I love you. I love you so fucking much that I don’t know what to do without you. I can’t believe I’ve gotten to a point in life that you aren’t apart of.
I don’t want anyone else, and I never will. Everyone I get close to doesn’t even begin to compare. They just feel like a placeholder, filling in the time I have until I can find you again. No one will ever be you, and no one could mean as much to me as you do. I hope I get to see you again some day, because there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of you.
-Satoru xx
The house was oddly quite, and it almost felt still. Satoru slowly made his away further into the house, following the only sound he could barely hear. Your soft sobs.
He was drawn into the bedroom where he saw you sitting on the floor holding a piece of paper as hot tears streamed down your cheeks.
Satoru instantly knew what you were holding. He could tell even just by the layout of the paragraphs that had been scribbled down. He knew exactly what it was, because he had re-read it a millions times over; to the point where he could recite it from memory.
His heart sunk as he watched from the doorway. He hated seeing you cry, especially knowing he was the cause of it. That letter he wrote, so long ago, was never meant to cause harm or any tears aside from his own. It wasn’t even meant to see the light of day, but judging by the small piles of clothes and old boxes surrounding your sobbing figure, he could safely assume that you came across it while cleaning. He should of thrown it away, a long time ago; he knew that, but for some reason he just felt like he couldn’t. Like he would be throwing away a piece of him.
Satoru opened his mouth so say something, but nothing came out. He wanted to say so much but nothing at the same time. You must have noticed his off-center breaths because you gently turned your head to face his tall figure. Seeing your puffy eyes and the tear stains on your cheeks made Satoru’s heart ache. He slowly took a step forward and as he was working up the courage to say something you interrupted him with a laugh.
A small teary laugh.
At first he thought it was a laugh of disbelief or anger, but then he saw a smile creep onto your face. It was wobbly from your sobs, but it was a smile none the less. His brows furrowed in confusion as you stood up and made your way over to him, instantly wrapping your arms around him.
He wasn’t sure if he was more confused or scarred. You weren’t angry or upset, but instead seemingly happy.
His body instinctively hugged you back and he tried to process what was happening.
“I love you so much” You whispered against his neck where you buried your face as your hugged him tighter. Not that you could see, Satoru’s eyes slowly widened as he came to realization. His heart began to break as he realized.
