Myttari are commonly known as "stinger birds" and are often seen as guard pets for the wealthy. These birds originate from grassland regions with warmer climates, but with proper care they can thrive in Victubia. These birds are intelligent and do not fear fire, like most other birds. Myttari often stand at the edge of naturally occurring fires to feast on fleeing prey. Myttari favor venomous snakes, but are also fond of small rodents and mammals. Though fish are not their favorite, they will eat fish if they are starving. It is unknown if the myttari produces its own poison to coat its lengthy tail or if they re-purpose the venom of its prey, but studies have shown that the more a myttari's tail glistens, the more potent its poison. Mytarri are monogamous birds that nest in trees, the taller the better. They lay nests of two to three eggs per mating season (every Spring). If lacking food, myttari have been known to eat their eggs. Young myttari mature after two months, but they do not start producing (or re-purposing) poison/venom until they are nine months old. Myttari have been known to live for twenty years in the wild. In captivity, the oldest myttari was documented to live to fifteen years. Myttari are also less likely to nest in captivity, but if they approve of another myttari, they will nest somewhere secluded. Charm of 5+ to keep a Mytarri from attacking you. Can be distracted for 1 turn with meat. Takes (1/2) damage if attacked with fire magic. Takes (2x) damage if attacked with water magic.
