having adhd doesn’t just mean that you have a really hard time focusing and being organized. it also means:

vague instructions are difficult to interpret

controlling emotions like anger is extremely difficult

making careless mistakes 

picking up social cues takes a lot more effort

the term “think before you speak” does not register in an adhd brain

a lot of people with adhd have social anxiety which makes it even harder to make / keep friends

remembering something not important from 4 years ago but not remembering what someone told you two seconds ago

but there are some not negative side effects like:

having a great sense of humor

being really creative + having creative ideas

being loyal and v loving

i guess the point of this is that adhd is more than having a bad memory and having difficultly focusing, it effects how we handle our emotions, our social skills and understanding instructions / ideas.

I don't know what normal is but I know it's not me. Some days I wish my brain would just function like everyone else's, so I'd have have an idea what's going on for once. My heads just to busy sometimes, everything just feels 10 times harder especially on a bad day..
