ALRIGHT----this wasn’t going to end any time soon. tj isn’t going to drop his eyes. they were just going to have to keep it up. unfortunately, tj KNOWS he won’t win this. he’s never been good at maintaining eye contact.

‘ ----WELL, yeah. i would like to hear you say it. ’ okay, they’ve been ( DANCING ) around this for weeks now. you would think that being as CLOSE as they are, it wouldn’t be so hard for one to admit to the other than they love them, but apparently for peter and tj, that was a whole other story. tj does love peter though, he really does. he just wants to make sure they’re on the same page.
the ways with which humans flirt is still so strange to him sometimes, though mating rituals in the wild really aren’t super simple either. especially with coyotes – not that he’s ever experienced them himself. ‘ so you wanna dance, or something? i mean if you’re gonna stare, we may as well at least DO something. ’ better to act on it than stand around awkwardly.
tj didn’t ( bother ) hiding the SMILE that graced his features when the other asked him to dance. he may have been AWKWARD at first, but he was definitely not going to pass this up. ‘ yeah, sure. a dance would be great. ’
sighing, he knew he’d tried. there wasn’t anything more he could do under the circumstances but at least he’d tried. tj hadn’t seen the things he’d seen while in the raft, he hadn’t seen what they did to wanda. steve knew if he had he’d rethink harbouring a known fugitive. but it was too late for either one of them to go back. the longer he stayed in the city the more likely he’d get caught. his wound was finally healed so once he got word from wakanda he could leave and tj would be safe once again. the problem would be getting a message from them. they’d made a point of using burner phones and it was more than time for him to get a new one. getting a new one meant slipping out into the city and he wasn’t certain he could without giving himself away. either way had to get one to contact the others. “something to eat sounds good,” he told him absentmindedly. his thoughts had been on trying to protect this kid and instead he looked like he’d been ignoring him. “i’ve got to go out into the city so i could grab us something to eat if you need me to,” he quickly added, hoping to make up for things. the sooner he could put some distance between himself and tj the better. he hated putting this kid in as much danger as he had but he had no other choice. now, he did and he could leave him in relatively safety. “indiana?” it sounded like a good plan but it didn’t keep tj out of trouble. just being together would mean being thrown in jail. but running on his own would mean putting even more people in danger. “out in the middle of nowhere is a good place to hide. i just hate putting you in even more danger than i already have, tj.”
THE SILENCE dragged on for what felt like a century. honestly, tj wasn’t sure if steve had even ( heard ) him. at least, until he finally responds. he glances back to the gallon of milk and makes a soft sound in the back of his throat. OF COURSE, steve had a lot to think about. he was on the run from the world as it is. still, it would suck LESS if he wouldn’t worry so much. they would be fine. tj knew they would be. he silently POURED his glass of milk and put the gallon back into the fridge as he then proceeded to lean against the counter. when steve spoke AGAIN, tj pursed his lips and furrowed his eyebrows. steve was going to go into town? that couldn’t be THAT good of an idea. what if he got caught? drumming his fingers against the counter, tj let out a soft sigh. ‘ i mean, if you think it’s SAFE for you to go out, that’d be fine, i guess. i can’t stop you from going out----as long as you think you’ll be okay. ’ truth be told, tj was a tad WORRIED for him and he couldn’t help but show it. he took a small drink of his milk and then placed it back onto the counter. once steve began to speak again, tj finally allowed himself to look at the super soldier ( he had a problem maintaining eye contact, unfortunately ). ‘ it’s honestly not a problem. besides, i think she’d have wanted you to go there. no one really knows where it is and in any case, you won’t have to HIDE in such a small area. no one would find us. ’

Are you even listening to me?” As if she’s not in abad enough mood already –a given, when she’s on shift at the small diner on a Friday night, always just a littlebusy for her liking-, her annoyance is only peaked by the stranger sitting at the table. “Look, if you’re not going to order anything, do me a favor and go find somewhere else to bumaround.”
‘ -----OKAY, first off, ( wow ) rude, much? secondly, it’s LOUD as hell in here. if you think i could hear you over those ( MORONS ), you’re obviously wrong. ’ with a PRESSED lip, tj slowly slid his menu back towards her. ‘ i would like a coffee and a slice of cheesecake, please. ’ he’s a little FRUSTRATED by her terrible customer service, but he’s not going to say anything else. she’s obviously had a bad enough night anyways.
despite all my low activity, i’m here to do a little bit of drafts. i know i went from being here 24/7 to almost not at all and i PROMISE i’m going to try and change that. i’ll be online at least once a week from now on. apparently, my other blog is taking up all my attention. i apologize. l ove me.

TJ was practically identical to Bucky, which made sense given they were related. But, Steve knew Bucky well enough that to him TJ seemed a completely different person. Small things that made TJ a whole different person aside from his friend.
“I know,” he chuckled. “Kind of hard to mistake you for anyone else. Though, it’s nice to meet you, officially.” Steve nodded. “I’m glad you could make it. When I found out you were living in town I sent the invite,” Steve admitted.
god, he’s adorable. tj can’t help but ADORE steve at that moment. his awkwardness made him feel a tad bit better. and the blush was DEFINITELY a bonus. ‘ ---so steve, how FAR does that blush go? ’ he teased gently, a smile pulling across his lips. despite the fact he was so very surprised that he was even invited, he was completely fine with this. talking to steve rogers? well---he’d go to any party, just to speak to him, if that were the case. hearing steve speak again, tj allowed a laugh to slip through his lips, shaking his head slightly. ‘ well thank you for inviting me. i probably would not have come if i didn’t know you were going to be here. ’ he’s an introvert; what can he say?
‘ dude. our eyes connected at one point because you were staring so hard. you can deny it all you want, but you were totally checking me out. it’s cool; you’re hot. ’
